When it comes to the defense... we have young, high end talent and numbers at DL and LB from the last few recruiting cycles. That talent needs to be developed. If we can't develop the young talent we have acquired over multiple recruiting classes then what are we even doing here with this coaching staff. The secondary is where the infusion of high end talent is desperately needed. Load up there, develop your young guys at LB and DL and there is no reason to not be fielding a very good defense in the fall. Can't build an entire team of 1 year hired mercenaries. Won't work.

People hate hearing it. But there’s still time, post playoff window, and spring window.

Lock those pieces mentioned. Let the young talent battle in spring and address what else is missing during those time frames. Gotta close here still but sky isn’t falling
 
We’re not getting any good receivers if Emory is our QB. Same likely goes for Mendoza although Mendoza is an upgrade over Emory.

Lucas coming here would be great news but I don’t think it matters if Guidry is still here which I expect him to be.

Ya that made me laugh. If we loved the room we would not be aggressively going after qbs but I'm glad they are bc i def don't love the room. I will say im excited for nickel after he gets coached up

good thing we got some top 150 recruits ... i like trader and carr ... sprinkle in toney along with daniels ... let's start building

Thank you D$. Love that we can land Lucas, still need more veterans back there but Him, OJ, Damari and hopefully better coaching with another veteran nickel CB and a true coverage safety would flip that room around.

Singleton is probably AU and Rivers committed to GTech. Agreed on Klare, he's nice but I think Riley is ready to break out plus Lofton and Schott might be the best out of all of them. Def could use another DT just looking at the depth. Ill feel way better if we lock in those 4 DBs. DMoney seems to know something regarding the QB spot so ill have to dig some

Maybe tampering. Maybe because most Miami fans would not be sold on picking our QB for 2025 in September without knowing who was available and it being a ColumbusBro

Mendoza may be a fine pick up.

Maybe a bit, but don’t go recruit/portal one of the 4 spots. If Guidry is around, basically only 4 LBs play. Let the young guys fight it out with Alderman for the two spots remaining (presuming Popo and Wesley get the other two).

I think Rivers would flip if we figured out a QB he liked, imo. Singleton is unlikely unfortunately.

Won’t push back on the TE’s, if they want to give Williams and Lofton a chance to take over, let’s see it.

Yea post-Mateer committing was rough but a new day comes. Honestly if we land those secondary players thats already a huge ? answered.
