The Bank (11/19)

The UF last stand desperate money blitz was out last week just before those big recruits set up visits. Money talks so we will see. The combination of money and Lagway is a big attraction for recruits. Keeping Napier shouldn't be. It was a smart move to announce Napier was staying. That was all about Lagway. Keeping Lagway is more important than Napier.

This Florida hype is hilarious. And it seems like lsu has lost Pickett but to who? He visited Georgia and now Florida is tryna get back involved ? It just seems everyone but us sorry guys
Seems like he wants to be in the SEC. Pretty sure his dad does anyway.

brown and hanks I just think thats tough to pull kids from their dad's program. Hanks is the more likely to flip imo.
I honestly wish them the best. cant get mad at them if they go to rebuild their dad's program.i hear brown is a great kid.
Totally with you. In my view, very low odds to flip Hanks at this point.

Lagway completing 50% of his passes on a weekly basis, more interceptions than TDs against FBS, and making 1 good throw per week is enough to completely revamp recruiting efforts? Obviously its $$$ too.

Yes, I'd take him here in a heartbeat but I think people are seriously jumping the gun on him... especially if he's wearing a Florida uniform and playing in Napier's offense. He's severely limited and capped on potential there. Losing his top 2 WRs, RB, and possibly even Eugene Wilson after the season if he transfers. Seemed unhappy early on and also has a rough recovery coming up on a hip injury. No replacements in sight and a few 5 star freshmen aren't changing that in 2025 either.
I would agree but this is what high profile QBs will do to your program. They change the entire landscape of recruiting all together for you.

Legit question though.... we have seen UF boosters come out and desperately swing before (Rashada) and sway kids with the promises of money only for it to not come true.

But now a recruit is going to look at the current state of the program (most boosters I know have dropped back their support because they dont like Billy) UF is desperate again and I dont doubt they are throwing out crazy "numbers" but why does anyone assume they will actually pay this time?

I agree he has looked okay. But he’s a true freshman and has won two massive games against Kentucky and LSU. I understand Kentucky is down but it’s still a tough team to play as a true freshman.

If a true freshman miami qb beat lsu and Kentucky this fanbase would be even more insufferable, trust me
Kentucky has a losing record and LSU is 6-4.

Emory beating Clemson was a bigger win last year

I don’t see all the hype on Lagway, sorry. At this point, to me, he looks like 50% passer, strong arm kid with athleticism but not a complete QB. Anthony Richardson again ? That doesn’t mean he won’t be all that in a year or two, early on, I say no.

This should let you know that recruiting battles have always been about money.

We obliterated UF & are the reason why their season completely fell off the rails. You would think that holds weight in the eyes of recruits, but as you can see... It don't.

And the same reason most of these kids bail on their school and teammates right before their bowl games and, yes, same with the coaches who bail on their kids for new gigs......so fk them all.
