I hope our defense can show some kind of progress over the next few games to convince these D backs to flip. The Gators have unfortunately shown improvement on their D and Lagway looks promising so hoping they falter the next few games.
fair assessments ... but i think the lack of success of our dbs works in our favor as there is real opportunity, while the best db we have happens to be a true freshman, which shows we will play the best young guys ... but i agree 100%, i much rather have the trajectory of florida's defense instead of miami

We had a true freshman QB beat Clemson last year and take an undefeated FSU to the brink n their house before breaking his arm and 75% of this board wants him to transfer.
But the thing is you guys are just looking at a scoreboard. He showed off absolutely nothing in those 2 games that made you say “wow. This is the qb of the future.”

The Clemson and fsu gameplan was a glimpse back into the world of early 20th century football.

Lagway makes plays that make you say wow this kid might have a chance to be special. Also: #1 player in the country Gatorade player of the year so comes with infinitely more hype than a borderline 3 star out of north west Florida

** I don’t want him to transfer. I think he can be serviceable*

Every year at this stage in the game I am so thankful for our approach in this era of recruiting.

Our final offers haven't come out yet. We sell these kids on culture, vision, and attitude from the jump while other schools dive into the NIL early and blow their load.

With that foundation and then our best and final offers right before signing day, it limits other schools from being able to react and gives the kids real program substance AND financial matching to make a decision on.

Won't get everybody, but I remain confident that our flip changes/percentages will be higher than most others.

Lagway looks like ****. Wtf is everyone hyping this guy? He’s as fat as me and almost has as many INTs as TDs. I’d bet he has more INTs than TDs after running into the buzz saw that is Ole Missus defense this weekend.
Entirely based on projections and a few wow plays so far. I've watched the games he's played in so far and again he's made some splash plays in those games but he's also made some absolutely terrible decisions and put the ball in harms way more than a couple times. Could have had a few more picks against him if they weren't dropped as well. With how some of the "phenom" freshman types have played in recent years, he doesn't stack up in terms of production with guys like Lawarence, Caleb W, or even Jalen Hurts despite having a pretty good receiving core. Anyone saying he is for sure the next big thing is not basing it off of his play this year because it has been mediocre at best to this point. Take away that stat pad game that was Samford and look at his starts against P5 teams and it get's MUCH worse.

This should let you know that recruiting battles have always been about money.

We obliterated UF & are the reason why their season completely fell off the rails. You would think that holds weight in the eyes of recruits, but as you can see... It don't.
I hope these same recruits REMEMBER how funny UF’s SO CALLED NIL BUDGET can be for example…Once upon a time a former UM QB decommit that was swayed by a sham 13 million NIL package which directly involved G5 Billy how’s that lawsuit going btw it’s been quite on that end 😂😭🤣

This UF buzz is all smoke I think. I remember the days when we had false smoke like this and had our fans thinking recruits were really interested in joining a 5-6 team only to be fooled at NSD. Remember the last minute Jerry Jeudy and Dalvin Cook visits? lol. Ahhh...those were the days.

I think Hanks and Brown stick with UF. I think Wilson sticks with Oregon. I think Alford and Pickett flip to UM. I think Carter stays at OSU. I think we get Wiley in the end. I think now that Mario smells blood in the water with Pickett souring on LSU that he does whatever it takes to get him in the class especially now that Merritt is acting funny and Hanks Jr is probably staying put.

Hope you’re right

French, Brown, and Wilson goin to UF would be hard to downplay

I am just making numbers up but if you offer me 250k to play for a winner or $1 million to play for a mediocre SEC team, you'd have to be crazy not to take the money. If the school offers you a chance to get noticed, I don't think winning matters like it used to.
