The Bank (10/5)

Mario is running this organization (with Alonzo’s added influence) like a pro program, and one thing you often see at the pro level is rookies starting to earn more playing time immediately after a bye.

It’s almost like the season starts, it’s warp speed, then the bye comes and they get a chance to breathe, absorb everything that happened to this point, then after the reset, the legit ones start to take off.

No surprise to me at all that D specifically mentioned a few rookies that will have snaps increased. I fully expect that to happen.
Something I’ve noticed about Mario is everything feels like it has a phase. Granted recruiting is 24/7/365 there still seems to be a concerted effort to block off parts of the season for certain things

Some people have complained about his timelines but they’ve been consistent as well it seems

It’s very structured

Wouldn’t surprise me to see what you’re saying combined with it being the start of ACC play. Some people refer to it as Periodization but it’s effective when it comes to mapping out goals

Idk about a 6’7-8 guard lol but I trust them to put him wherever they see fit. If that is OG then lace em up & lets do it
That’s why we offered Judd. He’s a turnover machine & a pretty crappy QB.. but he’s 7’1. 4D cheRss.

One thing I know about the man, EVERYTHING has a plan. Every single thing is calculated and thought through. Doesn’t mean it’s always correct or efficient, but very, very little of what he does is spontaneous or off the cuff. This dude is always working.

Scharf....legit cuz of his (zaquan)ranking? Cuz Isiah Thomas and Dylan day say hey don't forget bout us! And, markeith, Brian, Kaleb, Jaden, and possibly Kam and James comes back with the culture change! Safety isn't as bad as people think.
Kam and James are likely not going to decide until after the season so we cannot take the chance of not recruiting safeties if they end up declaring.

Markeith, Brian, Kaleb, and Jaden have potential but unproven. Need to stack up every class.

Aren’t Isiah and/or Dylan coming off serious injuries?

However, I am very concerned about corners recruiting. That position has been dead silent.

Wasn’t there a kid like that in the 2013 draft? Turned out to be the best player in that draft possibly. Forgot who he was or if it’s even the right draft. He was a qb they moved imhim to the line and he won a Super Bowl with kc the first time I believe. Not sure if he’s still playing.

Edit: My bad I was off it’s Lane Johnson of the eagles I believe. Dude was a qb in juco and like 210lbs or something close to that.

great insight... This is exactly what seems to be happening.

Franklin is going to flip IMO.
I really don’t understand the fascination with Franklin. Outside the pundits giving a 4 or 5 stars, do y’all really see an elite player? Or y’all just hyped about the stars? Honestly. I’ve watched his stuff and a game he played in, and like Colin Achempong, I just don’t see it. I’m more excited about Jones than Russell. He reminds me a lot of Anthony Lucas, and I’m not impressed. But that Brealand…I see it there.

I think it’s the size and measurables that you cannot teach which causes intrigue. That coupled with the coaching and development he will receive is what intrigues me and I would probably say most people. He has the blank canvas, just needs that proper next step.

Yes I noticed it a bit more this year when the portal and the coaching search timelines followed similar paths as last year

Also the summer recruiting push

You could tell he has things blocked off to be accomplished for certain dates

Wow kid hit the buffet & protein hard lol.

I remember thinking Logan Thomas would make a great TE. Kind of how I see Judd tbh. Could be wrong

Not sure bout there injuries? But, I'm hopeful they give Mario and addae and guidry a heads up long before then? Balom, mw, and Jaden has experience or played. I'm intrigued by Spencer!

Thomas is coming off an ACL and Gaby mentioned that he hurt his knee again. May be a candidate to get processed.

Yea Lane Johnson got playing time at OU cause the tackles went down then later on he’s an AA. Probably the best RT in the league right now. I wouldn’t be mad if the coaches wanted to do that here. If that’s their plan.

Not surprised by the Breland news Dan lanning has done a good job recruiting California it’s interesting because with Lincoln Riley at USC you would the Cali kids would want to stay and go to USC but instead there going to Oregon to play for Dan.
with carr potentially being added to the class does that mean
Lawayne McCoy is no longer a flip candidate or the staff is still going to try to get him to flip
If you were a defender, would you want to play for Lincoln Riley?

Some guys it’s obvious at projecting different positions.. Thought of another lol..

Tyree Jackson. (QB at Buffalo in college)

I honestly just don’t see Judd at QB.. ever

I think it’s unlikely, but how would a WR class of Smith, Jojo, Carr, and Chance compare to the 2017 Bama WR class?
Smith would have been the highest ranked of the bunch but in terms of rankings it probably would be as follows (this is only as far as them as a recruit):

J. Smith
Ruggs
D. Smith
J. Jeudy
Jojo
Carr
Chance

So to answer your question, Bama takes that on recruit rankings.

That and the overall coordination and athleticism to boot at that size. I think the reason people don’t like him is because he isn’t as twitched up as Breland or Stone but that kid will grow into a monster.
