That Tennessee offense!

And last night is the problem with that style of O. They really never have a Plan B. It’s just “go faster”.

You can tell that they don’t trust Milton (also playing with your 3rd string center hurts).

Just roll with Nico

That wasn’t it.

The problem last night is the same problem they had last year against UGA.

The Veer and Shoot, schematically, worked last night.

It’s an offense designed to dare you to blitz because you essentially can’t due to how far they spread you out.

First series of the game UF did, and UT killed them. The offensive system worked.

After that UF stopped blitzing. Which should make it easy on the QB. That’s a win for the Veer and Shoot.

The problem is, UF choose to play the pass, and so picked running as it’s poison. And UT couldn’t run it even with the box thinned out. UF’s beef inside just clogged it up. Which is what UGA was able to do last year.

There is no “plan B” when a defense is aligned to take away the pass and is begging you to run. You have to be able to run. And at that point you either have the talent to do so or you don’t.

UT ran 30 times for about 3 yards a carry.

That was the game. The OL couldn’t get any push, so the running game went nowhere. Which meant they could never force UF to leverage the box.

That offense looks very clownish when you run up the middle 1000 plays straight and the player is stuffed back 2 back 2 back2 back.. UF front size is impressive or maybe Tenn oline (the center false start a snap due to their shift, I never seen a center get scared, YOU SNAPPING THE BALL) is just that bad but they were able to get pressure and stop the run.. Their defense will keep them in games since SEC has no qbs..
