Texas vs Georgia

Not sure I like that targeting call. Bang bang play. What’s the defender supposed to do, jump out of the way? Both players lowered their heads and hit each other in the shoulder pads.

Disagree. That is close to textbook targeting call.

Miami has had some really good recruiting classes especially since we’ve sucked on the field

But UGAs are just different
They are getting the big, elite uglies up front but then getting the elite of elite safeties and corners.

Not to look to far forward to next year, but next year is supposed to be the year where our DBs take next steps and I see nothing but pain outside of bringing in some elite transfer DBs.

And why is it not targeting on the O players. Lowered his head, used the crown of his helmet to make forcible contact...................

Watching these 2 tema splay defense is day and night, with The U! We need to continue recruiting D studs

If Texas loses this game keep in mind they will have 0 wins against top 25 teams. They built up hype off of beating Michigan and Oklahoma who were thought to be good teams at the time. But both of those teams will be out of the top 25 this week.
You won’t hear that though. They’ll slide into the #5 spot and UGA will move up. The “good loss” will somehow overshadow their bad wins.

But don’t worry, not having any good wins will be the reason given that Miami “doesn’t deserve to move into the top 5.”

Agree , WR should also be called for targetting, he lowered his head

Bet they don't drop out of the top 5 though.

It also looked like the defensive players shoulder hit before the helmet. Hard to tell with the angles.

I won’t let you hurt me with your logic right now

I’m gonna wait till next season to have a total meltdown thank you

No. I don’t think the wide receiver was a defenseless player, and the defender didn’t launch. he just lowered his head the same way that the receiver did and they collided.

How do you know they didn't want to start the discussion right away but they had to deal with all the bottles being thrown?
It's a possibility, but I doubt it. I rewound it on DVR to go back to the play after your post and the officials actually go back to their positions for the next play. They didn't have their little conclave until the bottles came on the field and the game was held up.

In those rare circumstances that I've seen flags waved off, always happens before the penalty is announced. This may be unprecedented.
