Texas vs Georgia

Put it like this, if the conferences added a Ref in the booth to assist the refs on the field in real time so that they don't have egregious misses, do you think that is better for the sport or worse? I think it's better.

There was no DPI on that play, period.

Lol, you have clearly never watched a football game before. It happens a lot.
I think you are confusing the classic "there was no penalty for..." where they pick up a flag, but they don't actually state a penalty and then minutes later say there was no penalty. Usually they throw a flag, discuss, and it is common for them to pick it up and say there was no penalty. I don't recall many if any where they announce it then a few moments later reverse the call

The PI call was questionable.

But changing the call after the bottle throwing was MUCH MORE questionable.
Oh, definitely a bad look.

But the referees started discussing the call before the fans showed their displeasure.

There was no PI, referees discussed, and got the call right.

We can criticize the refs when they get a call blatantly wrong, but let’s not criticize them when they change their mind to get a call right.

I agree. The NFL model of this has worked this year

They should be able to review and pick up obviously dog **** flags like this one was. What they shouldn't ever do is be able to add a flag on a play that they missed in real time

Video proof?

They had their discussion. It was over.

Fans threw bottles.

They had ANOTHER discussion.

Result? Call changed.

He knows the difference but he’s in too deep know so he’s goin to pretend that a foul being announced and then overturned 2 mins later happens.

For all of you talking about changing the call after all that time. Remind again how the end of Miami lateral against Duke ended

They didn’t throw the flag and then have a discussion.

They threw the flag, announced the penalty, marked the yardage and then reversed the call after the bottles were thrown.
