Well.... some of them per Twitter. The end is near for Mack Brown. I hope Golden stays forever.

Im honestly not worried about Golden leaving for another college job. Maybe that's wishful thinking, but he seems to really like So Florida and the possibilities at UM

Also, did you hear the emotion today post-game? That didn't sound like a guy going anywhere anytime soon

He always goes on about this being a destination job. I don't see him going anywhere he knows he can build here what he would be building at any other big program so why waste your time moving?

I think you're right about him liking it here. I know his family likes it down here too. If Im not mistaken, I think his parents lives in Naples. Thought I read that somewhere. Golden is such a bad *** lol.... love that guy!

I hear Kelly is quite the fan of Coral Gables, I don't think the man wants to upset his wife.

To the board,

Since Schnelly, we never lost an HC to another College Team.

Love,
Mom and Pop

Golden has a weird obsession with the 80s Canes and JJ. He loves it here. That Miami attitude and hard-working, chip on your shoulder mentality resonates with him. He's also highly intelligent and he's looking at his last two recruiting classes laughing his *** off at what he's bringing in despite all the bull**** the program is dealing with.

Also, his wife told my informant "south Florida is. MY. ****." If he leaves, I think it's Penn State or the NFL.

But that's easy to say when a team like Texas ISN'T offering him some obscene amount of money. That'll make any man think twice.

golden is not going anywhere. why in the **** would he want to walk into a dumpster fire when he just went through one of the most hellacious periods in college football and emerged back in the national picture

He's too invested to leave right now. I can see him going to the NFL in 3-4 years, but he's gonna ride this out till the program is "back," at least.

Let me start by saying I don't think he'll leave, but a programme like Texas is one that could tempt him.

He's all about recruiting - the big draw for Miami is that even if you just secure half the top talent down in South Florida you're putting together a **** of a football team.

Texas, historically, have had their pick of Texas talent. With someone like Al Golden at the helm they'd put up monster recruiting classes.

He's not playing poker when he's standing at his press conferences. In today's press conference, he talked about the experience being "cathartic." The guy feels like he's been put through **** and, whether he convinced himself of it or not, he seems to be rocking the "this was meant to be" approach. We pay him well enough and his family (and extended family) has become comfortable down here.

If Golden leaves, it's for the NFL. And, I don't see it in the very near future.

While true historically, A&M has turned the tide with their move to the SEC and recent success. I'm sure part of it is kids realizing UT is a dying ***** with Mack Brown, but right now, it wouldn't be a cakewalk, A&M is competing for just about every Texas blue chipper.

That being said, he's worked way to hard to leave for another college job. The NFL, maybe, but not another university.

golden doesn't appear to be the type of guy that isn't going to see something through. the guy has a plan and he is not about to abandon it and start over at Texas. He wants to build a dynasty here.

Yes with a pelvic thrust.

Texas will go after an assistant in the SEC like Saban's DC before they look at nabbing Fedora, Strong or Golden. Fedora hasn't done much at Carolina to merit picking him up, Strong turned down Tennessee and has most of his ties at Florida and Golden ain't leaving Miami to rebuild all over again in Austin.

Look for someone like Kirby Smart, Mike Bobo or even Cal's head coach, Sonny Dykes to get a holler if Mack doesn't turn things around.

It's not a weird obsession. Those teams were ******* awesome and Golden played against them. He knows what's up.
