Tedarrell slaton

At this time last year blackvern and Paranos were disguising the type of skill Dallas Crawford brought to the table and how good of a tackler he was, so take the things he says with a grain of salt.

What are you talking about?

Go Canes

Allow me access to your records past this week and I will pull the quote for you if you want. Not a big deal but you guys were really wrong in your assessment of Crawford.

I think the kid would be a beast at guard. Massive and Powerful kid who has good agility. He'd be a road grader IMO, better than Dykstra.

Oh okay I was high on crawford at safety when we got him he ran a 4.85 his freshman year I figure oh he's just outta shape he's really a 4.6 guy... Then I remember before his senior year he clocked a 5.09 40... It's very hard to be successful at safety running that slow... He had the instincts bu not the athketicism...Point blank we can not get back to being a top 5 team with marginal athletes in the secondary nor anywhere on our team.... Dudes like knowles, Mayes, high smith and slow Crawford should not be getting playing time at Miami if we are ever to become what we wanna be... I like Yearby and Walton but they just don't have the explosion that we need on a championship team.. I know speed is not the end all be all but dammit mane you can't be small and slow... 40 times matter

I mostly agree with the bolded parts of your statements. Miami's identity was its speed, we need to get our identity back. While all the rest of college football's top teams adopted Miami and FSU's style we moved away from it. **** they even did an article about other programs adopting our style and how it revolutionized college football on ESPN. We have to get back to our identity back if we ever want to win championships.

However, I think you are wrong about Walton. Walton's probably a mid-4.5 guy that is plenty fast enough to be a RB at this level. His problem is he lacks instincts for the position as far as finding the hole and reading his blocks infront of him, essential for a RB. I hope he gets better at this and grow's over time while he is a RB here. You have to admit and to your credit I think you have that your initial assessment of Walton was off. Comparing him to Eduardo Clement talent wise was just way off. I think that's why most people have been on you about the Walton subject.

pimp Walton did suprise me with his hands and his toughness..I didnt think he was that strong and I actually think he may have the best hands on the team... But when he runs the ball nothing excites me about him. He left so many yards on the field running the ball last year. when we use to give him draws out of the shotgun it took him so long to get moving....

Watched Slaton against Booker T last night and was not impressed. Looks like an NFL player out there in terms of size but he is slow and complacent. Just didn't strike me as a 5-star talent. Booker T also had a ton of talent on both sides of the ball. I look forward to seeing how we recruit from there over the next couple years

How did Telfort look?

Well that depends. Do we think Miami has a shot with him? Miami's chances with a player has a big impact on their scouting reports.

He did leave a lot of meat on the bone last year as seen by his low YPC average. I think most of that was because he wasn't setting up his blocks properly. I didn't really notice him on draw plays but I will pay more attention to it this season.

But come on bro, how can call Gus "the Bus" when he has yet to run over anyone?

LOL you havent seen him in a year....He's carried a few people into the end zone in 14' ..my fatih in GUs is all potential and also that our favorite running back told me GUs was the most talented RB on the team ..I cant wait until this season gets started

As in was high on Dallas Crawford as a good football player then yeah I was high on him as a UM football player. **** he won the UNC game for Miami a few years back.

First, Miami's OL that year had NFL talent littered on it. I could have ran through some of those holes Dallas got. Dallas was fortunate that there were no other capable RB's on that roster after Duke went down.

Next, you guys talked specifically about his value as a tackler in the secondary. I could pull clips from Duke, Cincinnati ect, where he had RB's dead to rights and he whiffed.

Bottom line, He had would have never even been on some of our championship teams. God bless him because he tried to give effort as a player but he sucked as a safety and was below average as a college RB.

Highly doubt Telfort will qualify unless they do some amazing work over there at Booker T....

Like choc and knowles?

Was wrong about choc ... Said nothing about knowles except that he sucks...listen everything I tell u are from the players coaches I don't throw **** to the wall

I don't think you been right about anything.

You must be talking about a different Vern.
