This kid is grade A knuckle head for thinking he is D1 basketball player. I saw a video of him playing bball and I can find 10 guys at the gym with a better game.

Exactly. Can somebody show me a D-1 basketball player with 6-3, 330 lbs measureables? He's guard height for Christ's sake. He's no Oliver Miller, Sean Day or Big Baby Davis. Those guys are all significantly taller. What is this guy smoking?

^^ it's the thought process of the heritage kids. It's why hallandale beat them..n rumph looked bad against a team he blew out two weeks before. There whole team clowns pretty much like that all game. Slaton can play thiugh. Have no clue about this ball thin when he is huffing n puffing playing ol...and is a 3 man at best in college. Hes not that good of a player to earn n d1 offer in bball.

I have seen him play basketball a bunch. He isnt a D2 player let alone a division 1 basketball player

Maybe if Rumph hadn't spent the last few years talking **** about his alma mater we'd have a shot. Bottom line is that well is poisoned and now he just looks like a hypocrite to those kids.

What an old, tired, argument. That's one thing were gave as scholarship athletes is classes that teach us to distinguish context & fact from fiction... feel free to look back at each of his statements & never once will you see anything disparaging about the university. He spoke on a regular about what a joke our staff had became. He was 100% accurate & if you're not willing to admit that yet than clearly you were a golden supporter. Far as any kid looking at it that way, honestly we have enough morons on our roster & in our fanbase. I'd rather not welcome more...

Here's a fact that invalidates your own argument, name me one mid-high level player we have gotten from that school? So deal with that fact and get back to me. You can't spend 3-4 years talking **** about a staff, and a the schools commitment to football, and then turn around and expect kids to listen to you when you try and convince them to come play for you at the school you have been bashing.

Agreed. With Jordan Wright maybe it's feasible (though unlikely), he could play basketball. With Slaton it's absurd.

Slaton plays basketball like Fat Albert used to. Mushmouth would lob one to him and everyone would just bounce off him.

why is this a thread? He literally listed his top 5 at Dolphins media day this week and we weren't on it. Staff doesn't really want him either. Let's move on.

Anyone ever thought that maybe Rumph knows these kids really well and told us not to recruit them. We do not need bad attitude kids with heads in the sky. We need talent that is going to work for the money.

You're serious? He's been here not even ONE full recruiting cycle & been involved in the recruitment of one kid from there had a very minimal role in the recruitment of one other. Facts are just because you feel a kid is a priority doesn't mean the staff feels the same. Slaton being example number 1 2 & 3. You all complain about every kid from there who goes somewhere else, yet give him no credit for the role he plays in getting recruits here. Atleast the kids he's recruiting know better & give him the credit he deserves. While you're at it why don't you mention the kids from there who were such high profile recruits & sure fire studs that we missed on. Other than Sony good luck. How bout that monster qb who's already been switched to reciever & God knows when he'll see the field. Instead of *****ing & moaning about everything that's not under his control let's first find out if he can do what we brought him for. You all act like Paul Williams did anything even average for us let alone be completely worthless in coaching & recruiting. It's an upgrade for God's sake...

Watched Slaton against Booker T last night and was not impressed. Looks like an NFL player out there in terms of size but he is slow and complacent. Just didn't strike me as a 5-star talent. Booker T also had a ton of talent on both sides of the ball. I look forward to seeing how we recruit from there over the next couple years
