The fact that the staff "felt good" about Slaton and Herbert is an embarrassment. Should've taken Telfort, and gone after other targets.

Once again (similar to WR recruiting), we are left empty handed, because we put all our eggs into 1 or 2 baskets.

Also, why can't Rumph land anyone from his old school? Baffling..

Rumps was bashing us a year ago. You think the 180 isn't noticed by the kids?

What did he say that was bashing? He said golden wasnt recruiting his school and the staff wasnt coming by the school. How is that bashing? He sat down with golden and told dude he is welcome to come by anytime and told him to come by the school more. Golden still didnt do it.

Although that's already been proven to be a lie especially considering michel. Rumph flat out lied on air and stated golden wasn't really recruiting him which is bs. Rumph didn't have a good relationship with the former staff so why is it so hard to believe that he didn't have many good things to say about the program. Not too mention heritage has somehow become a pipeline for out of state schools. Does any other state than Florida have several schools that are pipelines for out of state schools? It's pretty perplexing and goes to show you what kind of individuals are around these kids

Man as i stated several local coaches was in the herald and said similiar stuff about the staff. Maybe he said golden wasnt recruiting michel because the local coach wasnt even going by the **** school to see him.

Idk if he actively told players not to come or negatively recruited against UM but I do know that former players and many coaches would go online, in the papers and in the news ripping the program and especially the coaches. Now I always said it was stupid because the kids see what's going on, the fans know but you put gas on the fire and the kids will see and take the program as a joke and then you getting a job leaving them for the school that you've bashed which is your alma mater will make those same kids look at you side eyed. If he did that he should've never been hired

The gulliver kids were already Miami fans. Mullins in particular was always a Miami fan growing up but his freshman and sophomore year we didn't recruit him but bama and others did so he had a resentment towards Miami you could. As soon as we offered we became the favorite for him and he committed quickly after that
. Baez helped but he wasn't the end all be all in the recruitment for those kids. Baez imo is a tremendous asset though and is good at what he does.

slaton is working out at OG at the Army practice sessions (and dominating). If he's dead set on DT, shouldn't he be trying to to show out at that position?

I honestly believe the guy is trolling...none of this stuff came out until he left for the all american game with a bunch of croots that are having fun, clowning around, and trolling.

Once the dead period is over, we'll talk to him, get him on campus for an OV and sign both him and Herbert.

Just means he isnt good at crooting.... Which is very obvious right now...Theres no other excuse....he is coaching up the corners..ill give him that...but id rather have a crooter as a DB coach
