Talk lately has me a little nervous about 2020 football season. Thoughts?

Do you think we will play football in 2020?

If she can work from home, there should be no reason to cut her pay specifically because she is having to work from home for medical reasons. If that’s the case, her employer should be ashamed and I’m quite certain she would have a case for labor law violation.

It’s not all or nothing. “Going back to work” doesn’t need to mean going back in time 45 days. It means we we take reasonable precautions and slowly restart the world while monitoring the situation closely.
Exactly, doesn't have to be black or white. Just a happy grey area...

Not a new status, and has nothing to do with party. Absolute truth, though.
Never mentioned party. I don't trust any politicians. Some I trust less than others, but I trust none of them fully.

I always ask why these connected guys with usually great educational backgrounds want to work for the pittance they make as politicians when they could be making multiples of that in the private sector. The answer is why I will never trust them.

Some people are just full of ****. Hopefully it's not the ones coming up with the solutions...

We'll see. If we truly don't need them, then they can easily stop the ramp up of production, if there ever really was one, right away. I've yet to see evidence of any of these hundreds of thousands of ventilators that the our stable genius claimed are being produced. Maybe they're out there, and it just hasn't come to light yet.
Yeah, whether we need them or not, if someone does (Europe, Africa), or even if the possibility exists that anyone might need them, even for a future pandemic, building them is the right thing to do.

Im trying to avoid the subject of why there weren’t more to begin with as its in the past and not really germane to the topic of “RE-opening” the country. But you seem to be stuck focused on that. It’s certainly a larger subject that I think probably no one comes out smelling like a rose on. Look into what NY State and the Obama Administration are reported to have done on the subject, for instance. Here is an article that discusses how a NY State study determined they would have a severe shortage, but then none of the recommendations of the study were followed. Absolutely, Orange Man shares some blame for any perceived or potential shortage. But it’s not accurate to blame a single person for a situation that many had a hand in.

Yup. It’s because they play be their own separate set of rules that allows for insider trading and all sorts of types of kickbacks that would never be allowed by any other standard. It’s sickening.

I don't think I ever blamed one person unlike the guy and his minions who can't take any responsibility for their role in not being out in front of this.

I'm not "stuck" on anything actually. I just thought you were a guy I could discuss a few issues with without you getting riled up. I questioned you on the ventilators because I've heard Trump claiming there were "hundreds of thousands" of them being produced, but I haven't seen any evidence of any of them. I thought maybe you knew something I didn't as to the ventilators.

That and just flat out payoffs. Isn't it odd how all the presidents start getting millions for 30 minute speeches the minute they leave office? I'm sure all they're getting paid for is their oratory skills. It has nothing to do with paying off favors.

Its b.s, man. But she’s been recognized by the CEO of our company on several occasions, so she’s not tripping as she has a two aces under her sleeve....he & I. I’ll complain and since I’m the one of the top producers in the entire company, they’ll acquiesce.

Way to solidify yourself in the system. Use your pull to an advantage. It's all about leverage....

Great question.

Here is what I observed time and again (and in this order) for Federal appointed officials (remember different than "government employee"):

1) Ego
2) Connections and prestige (tied back to #1)
3) Patriotism/do right for society (Ds and Rs have a VERY VERY different take on motivator #3)

Here is what I observed for the staff of elected officials:

1) Mommy and daddy are big contributors
2) Ego
3) Connections and prestige (tied back to #1/#2)
4) They are ALL douches and were often lucky to leave meetings without me choking them

Here is what I observed for elected officials

1) Ego
2) Patriotism/do right for society (Ds and Rs have a VERY VERY different take on motivator #2)
3) Connections and prestige--the draw is just too difficult to walk away from

The allure of success takes many shapes. Different roads to travel for like outcomes...

Learned that very early when I worked my first legitimate job at Wells Fargo. Leverage is everything, and if u choose to remain status quo v. breaking the mold and becoming the status, corporate America will eat u alive when times get hard.

I got my assistant’s back as she’s vital to my success, but more importantly, she’s just a good person that’s highly knowledgeable and has helped our company’s tech division & keeping my office’s retention above 80% even during this crisis.

She almost died 6 yrs ago, after getting infected by one of our customers. The Flu literally left her on life support. The Priest came through, gave final prayer over her & the family,. 3 hrs later, she fought back. Less than 2 months, she was back in the office even though the Dr gave her 6 months to recover. Ultimate team player man, so needless to say I’m ****ed they’re talking about cutting her salary if she decides to stay home. I’ve been in a ****y mood w upper management and they know exactly why. U don’t do this to ppl that r not only champions for the company, but also don’t have a choice.

You recruit the member, but retain them as family.
