Syracuse

They had a 2 loss Bama team who beat Mercer jump us during our BYE week... Literally zero justification for that.

If we lose they can justify pretty much any 3 loss SEC team jumping us.

"Lost to the only ranked team they played" etc etc...

If we don’t win the ACC and you think we still make the playoff…

Hold On GIF

They had 1 loss SEC teams in front of an undefeated Miami team.

No reason they won't put a 3 loss SEC team in front of a 2 loss Miami team.
A regular season three loss SEC team will not be over a regular season one loss ACC team or even a Big 12 team for that matter. Makes no sense to penalize a team for making it to a championship game for handling business in the regular season. Alabama, Ole Miss, Texas A&M are all out.

I completely agreed before I looked at the current rankings.

I made a longer post about it just a few posts above this one.

Yesterday's upsets helped Alabama out in a major way. Its borderline impossible for them to fall farther than 13th on Tuesday.

As others have pointed out, a 2 loss Alabama already jumped us for beating Mercer.

If it comes down to 2 loss Miami vs 3 loss Alabama, I wouldn't put anything past the committee. Not with ESPN's SEC hype machine backing them up.

It *should* hurt us less if our loss is in a conference championship game.

But because it's Bama, it won't.

lol there is no argument. Bama and ole miss are done. Even the media has been saying it. They are both going to drop to the teens
bama is still in. they have he 12th best odds. somehow ND has higher odds than us even tho we have a better loss on the road (I thought thats how it works right good losses?)

Buckle up. 3 loss Alabama will be no lower than 13th on Tuesday. They might even be 12th if the committee decides that Indiana is a fraud.

Alabama is sitting at 7th. How far can they actually drop?

(8) Miami, (10) Georgia, (11) Tenn, (12) Boise, and (13) SMU will all move ahead of them.

But then what?

9, 14, 15, 16, and 19 all lost yesterday and Alabama has a win over 18.

How many of these teams do you think the committee would rank ahead of them?

17 Clemson
18 USCe (Alabama beat them)
20 Tulane
21 Arizona State
22 Iowa State
23 Missouri (Alabama beat them)

IF we lose the ACCCG, there's no guarantee we get in over Alabama.

I respectfully disagree with this. We need to beat Cuse. All bets are off if we don’t. But if we do, we’re going to the playoffs regardless of the ACCCG outcome.

The playoff committee explicitly said they would not take conference championship losses into account. Now they could be lying. And if we blow out or get blown out by SMU, one of us might get dropped. But as long as we beat Syracuse, I believe both teams will be in. And there's a chance Clemson makes it, too.

They absolutely are.

If we don't win out we are not getting in, no way, no how. We got ******* jumped by a crap Bama last week FFS, you folks are delusional.
You all now we are held to a different standard.

Look at the OPI, every team in America runs it and it's virtually never called, except on one team.
Let's not start on Targeting

If they get ranked 12th they are out because the big 12 winner gets in automatically
