Mccord is tvd like, change the pre snap looks, pressure him and he will throw us the ball

Against UNLV he almost threw 2 ints. Strange QB, he can catch fire but he makes these throws that are just ugly

The Pitt and Stanford game were 2 games that McCord single handedly gave the other team the W

This team offense is pretty much, “you can’t cover our WRs.” Only watched this one game but I don’t see much misdirection, eye candy, or creating confusion. It will def come down to can our CB/S get stops. Their WRs are super physical and make a world of contested catches. They also break tackles after the catch.

Defensively, this will be a game where Cam has to take what they give him. I expect them to go heavy zone and try to avoid giving up big plays. Make us move the ball up the field with long drives.

This is THE game that determines whether the Cristobal experiment is going to be a success or failure long term.

UM has much more talent than Syracuse. We control our fate. Win and we are in the ACC championship and likely the playoffs. So why are people so concerned? Coaching. Many people think Cristobal is going to get outcoached.

But there is a flip side. Cristobal has spent 3 years building the trenches, especially the offensive line. It doesn’t matter how good a coach is if the team can’t control the LOS. Miami SHOULD have the ability to impose its will on offense. What the defense does is anyone’s guess. Some say it got better vs Wake, others said WRs were just as open but their QB couldn’t get it to them. Offense can make sure the defense isn’t on the field long.

So this is it. Can Cristobal win with old school caveman football or does he get outcoached, and definitively prove coaching ability going to limit what he can achieve?

The talking heads on tv say the latter and expect an upset. I disagree. I think controlling TOP and imposing its will is what Cristobal has built the team to do.

Remember too that Moten missed the first half the WF game because of the targeting penalty against GT. When he came in the second half he made a big difference.

Syracuse vs Va Tech, 3 weeks ago. both Drones and Tuten were out with injury. Collin Schlee was in as QB for Va Tech. Va Tech led the entire game but lost in OT when the QB fumbled

Halftime score was 14-3 Va Tech. Va Tech won the time of possession 34 min to 26 min, had more total yards (455 vs 410)

McCord held to 280 yds passing.

Va Tech ran for 249 yds, passed for 206

I don't feel good about Cuse in the Dome. They are going to be confident with our tape. Today I watched a D that couldn't stop Claiborne. Many saw we played great D in the 2nd half. I saw us playing great D without Claiborne in the game any longer. I want to credit the 4-3 and personnel adjustments, but we couldn't stop them with Claiborne.
Cam cost us points, I am done letting that slide.
I will always be real about what I see. It is sad winning 10 games and having no confidence we can beat mediocre teams. It's a unfortunate reality. I 🙏 we win just to make the ACC Championship.

Didn’t your super secret weapon destroying us average 3.3 an attempt?
