Syracuse

I’m actually worried about this game. Their offense is a horrific matchup for our Defense. Can the DL beat their sus OL?

I look at it a lot like Louisville. They’ll want to make it a track meet, and not slow it down like GT/Wake did.

A high possession game favors us, and should allow Cam to be in more of a rhythm early on. These last two games the opposing teams have had crazy long drives, that has stalled the offense IMO.

Defense will need 3-4 stops obviously. I’m hoping the D-Line we saw from the second half shows up.

Besides throw the ball 70 times a game, what makes Syracuse passing so potent, that everyone feels like it’s a horrible matchup?

Do they run the misdirection, eye candy type ish that Louisville does?

Our D played lights out against Cal in the second half, too. But can we please play a full game?

@Dwinstitles thank you for Saquan bruh!!! Much appreciated
Your welcome

But you have to win it all if not it means nothing. A Super Bowl loss is still a losing season for you guys at least cause you been pretty successful for a good while.

Enjoy that beast best rb in the nfl I remember someone saying Walton was better here. The worst take on this forum till this very day.

While he's still in the conversation he has a chance. Colorado losing doesn't help Hunter imo. Cam gets us into the CFP I think he has a good a chance as any in the top 3.
The final opportunity with the whole country watching would be thr ACC title game. That's the last game before voters make their choice.
And that G5 team is assembled from our JV team.
SMU is good and capable of winning, but it's a must win for us in my opinion. I don't want to backdoor our way into the playoffs and have the Miami media pundits spin it as a positive.

We've never won the ACC. Losing to SMU in their 1st year with them having our former players would be a kick to the nut sack.

Syracuse will score points. They’re better offensively than Wake Forest.

I’m not worried about the defense because nothing’s gonna turn it around overnight. They played well against Wake Forest after the first few drives, but they are flawed on all three levels.

Miami should go tempo offense early. Put the pedal to the metal and do not let up.

Too early prediction: Miami 45, Syracuse 27.

Just win the ACC and get us that **** conference trophy. It would be completely embarrassing to have a former G5 school come in and go undefeated with an ACC title in year one. It's already a jab from ACC haters.

smu joining the ACC, playing for free, and winning it in year 1 ( something we haven’t done since joining ACC) with a bunch of UM transfers and our former OC?

I hope we win it this year, as smu winning would be a bitter pill to swallow.

I saw the WF game a bit differently. I think the staff recognized (Finally) we started games slowly trying new things, and we would end up having to open up in the 2nd half. This past game, felt more like Mario said "lets try my way the first half and get points on the board early/slowly and you can still open up in the 2nd half". The play calling in the first half was ultra vanilla and we ended up going into half with 20 points, which if Im not mistaken, the most we've had this season going into halftime. ( I may be a game or two off here, but the average Im certain of.)

I actually liked this concept. We let them tire themselves out for the half and we use what we KNOW works. It's boring af compared to the high octane we're grown used to this year, but it puts points up nonetheless. And we're deep enough on O (skill position anyway) to make it work.

The only problem was....well...the defense as usual. lol

I think their top 3 receivers lead the ACC in contested catches by some margin.

They identify the 1vs1 and launch it to the boundary. It may suit our DBs better, because OJ and Porter play that better (notice how the pass defense has improved since Porter plays boundary).

But it's not that we can't defeat them. QB isn't the most athletic, so... let's hope we stick with the personnel changes from the WF game.
