You are correct. AI is restricted by the data it has collected and has been exposed to. That is why DeepSeek couldn’t answer certain questions about China.
Go check the Marino thread. OpenAI accepted my input to produce new output on the top QBs from Miami.

No deepseek can't answer smcertain questions about China because the government censors them lol

There only two ways AI gets its answers. The first is by what data was fed into it and the second is by whatever programming filters the results. Machine learning is really very basic in its structure. The heavy lifting is crunching through the large volume of data fed to it.

AI has no creativity of its own. The closest it can do is use pattern recognition to see what might come next. When Steve Jobs created the iPhone, it was revolutionary. All his successors have done is evolve that product. AI is no different.

Up to this point.
Want me to clarify?

If China only lets it learn what it wants and that is factually wrong, it will always be wrong.

As for the model, if the Chinese developers build the model incorrectly and don’t allow it to be refined by users, it will not improve its accuracy.

I don't disagree with that. I disagree with the it's only ever going to do what we teach it part.

Microsoft beats Revenue and EPS….down 5% initially
Cloud Revenue down
Tesla misses EPS and Revenue…down initially 5%
Meta beats earnings and revenue..initially down
Powell says economy strong, employment solid, inflation has moved closer to 2% but elevated.
Let’s see what happens after investors have time to think about all the numbers and what Powell says.

This would assume humans don’t have flaws OR ai can be smarter than humans simply by collective learning from all humans. Now if you mean, AI will use adaptive learning based on input from humans then I actually agree.

Different AI platforms will have different information and data put in, with different
Algorithms and different interpretations….

Do you believe AI will eventually be able to makes discoveries or solve problems we have been incapable of solving? And if it does so with data/truths we provided, did it only do what we taught it?

Imo today it may not be capable of creating calculus with us inputing just a bunch of data on volumes and areas of objects and distance and time of objects in motion or temperatures of objects being heated, but eventually imo the scale will reach a point that it does gain that capability. And at that point maybe it'll create its own theorems for us to confirm...

Besides making new discoveries, it will recognize new data that we missed from old data we provided.

That comment makes zero sense.

It will find new patterns from old data that humans missed.
I believe that new data can be found from old data, or new data come from old data, with new sophisticated research like ai, but what you say is correct. I might be saying it wrong.
