Stephen Morris's last drive....

Morris earned his props this game. The trend was not good coming in, and sure, he's a work in progress, but he might be good enough to win with.

Morris didn't choke. He didn't panic. He didn't become flustered. He remained calm with purpose.

db305. I hope you know more about fornicating than you know about quarterbacks, otherwise your line of genetics is going to dry up with you.

Not that this will be a bad thing . . .

Stop expecting perfection out of him, christ. No **** he left plays on the field, but he still made pivotal throws throughout the game. He was **** near money on 3rd down as well.

One throw he doesn't seem to get much credit for is the 3rd and long deep in their zone on that final drive...threw a bullet over the corner's head right to Dorsett. He made plays when he needed to.

Smh...and we do have a tough fan base. He still has a lot to improve on

I mentioned this in another thread but if we put up 600+ yards of offense and our QB and OC suck then what the **** are we talking about?

He made some bad throws.Yes he did. But how many third down throws did he make, he was money on third down. That two minute drive was big time.

you're a funny guy. i didn't say he did any of those things, but he still has a lot to prove. i'm also a realist and reality is that right now morris is our best option, but nothing spectacular.
here's what i know about morris. for his career he has 11 TDs and 14 INTs. this year he has 4 of those 11 TDs and 3 INTs (to his credit, the BC INT wasn't on him so we can call it 2).
he is fairly average when he should be far better based on his time here so far. calling him the best qb since dorsey is premature and speculative at best. i do hope for the best from morris because he is the leader of the team, but he has to show a lot of improvement in his consistency.

People have already claimed morris has 3 years of experience even though he's only 4 games into his 3rd year.. and still hasn't hit double digit starts.. ludicrous.

Money point right here.

I believe it was Bill Walsh who said you measure QB's on what they do on 3rd down.

Stop throwing short of the marker on third downs, limit wild throws (especially deep), and run a little faster when there is a hole, and he will be great. Hope this is a trend, and he improves and we are gonna be in good shape

The dude definitly left some throws on the field and he could have done a better job with his accuracy on the shorter throws. I had no problem with his INT because it was just a little off target and scott had a step-and-a-half on the DB. His last drive was awesome and three passes in a row were slants so hold off on bagging on him for not being able to make throws to that route, I was nervous with those throws because he was staring down the recievers too hard but we got away with it..

The other thing that is bothering me is that we're busting balls about his receivers doing most of the work. You know how many times I have heard why don't we use our WR's speed like we did with Roscoe, lamar, etc..? now we're doing just that and people are b!tchin'?

Morris will be fine and he will make mistakes. We won because of him not in spite of him. He will continue to get better along with the rest of the team.

I thought there wasn't any trolling on this board ?

Some heads are going full ****** in this thread.

Here's the nice thing- he threw for 430+ yds with about a 60% completion percentage along with 2 TDs/ 1 INT. This is a guy who still has another year to play, another year of Fisch, and another of year of growth. If he can consistently complete above 60%, have a 3:1 TD/INT ratio, and settle down a bit, all of which are achievable, then he's going to be an excellent QB before he leaves. He's not there yet, but the potential is there, and he's not as far as some might have you believe.

I really pity poor Kevin Olsen. Peeps will be calling for his head after his first incompletion.....
