Stephen Morris's last drive....

I was at the game today and was in the end zone that they scored the winning td in OT....Morris played well but not perfect...He has a lot to improve on, specifically on his touch and ability to read/look off receivers. With that said, I think he has a good upside. I just would like to see us line up in power I and stuff it when we are in the red zone. for instance before the missed FG...we should have run that shytt all 3 downs..but instead we get in spread 4 wide and run slants SMH...the bigger question is not if morrise improves but does fisch improve...still too fancy for me...we need to have the ability to run run run when we are up or in the red zone!

Not trying to hate, but he still didn't look encouraging to me today. Receivers did all the hard work. He could have put the game away a lot sooner had he hit some W I D E open guys.

I'm too ******* happy about this game to even care though. Boys (Morris included) showed a lot of heart out there today. And that is more important than anything. My time to ***** about Morris will come in a week or two, but there will be no further *****ing this week from me.

judging morris' "greatness" on that last drive would be like saying freeman is a great qb for the drive against fsu in 2007. he's proven to be inconsistent at best. the cries for "give him time" and "work in progress" are crap. he's been at miami for 3 years already and different coordinators don't affect his ability to throw accurately or put touch on the ball. he may be the best we have right now, but just because he isn't harris (who was a better qb) doesn't mean he's our savior.

**** your ridiculously stupid post.

Did you just compare one of the statistically greatest performances for a UM QB with one of the worst? Did you just do that?

Put it this way. If we lost that game he would have gotten heat for all those miss passes but we won and he came through in the end. So he gets props from me but I do want to see him get the other stuff cleaned up. He has to be more accurate. Those two passes in the endzone on the drive where Wieclaw missed the FG should have been easy TDs.

I mean the kid had some highs and lows but after a full year of playing this year. Man he could be something special next year as a senior and a full offseason of practice

The positives outweighed the negatives and he completed a 91 TD drive in less than 2 minutes to tie the game.

Turrible. Put in Gray Crow.

Don't get your hopes up.

The best he can be is serviceable enough for us to go 10-2 (this year or next ;) ) while waiting for Olson to redshirt a year.

Goddam there are some dumbass cane fans on here.

You guys want to be right about wanting to bench Morris after the BCC game that you're letting rational thought escape you.

Go ahead and keep on hating cause you all don't want to be wrong about Morris.

I still believe Morris is better than EJ Manuel. We can win with the guy, but he has serious problems.

EJ will cost the Noles 3 games this year, down the line.

Book it.

Morris would only cost a good team 2.

for all the *****in some of these so called cane fans do, you all realize that Morris is arguably the best passing QB in the ACC right now.

Jacory Harris had a number of monster games...

Don't crown the guy after one good game. Wait and see if he manages to look any good next week and at Notre Dame.

Morris is still learning and he finally led his team through the crucible --> that's going to build a lot of confidence

we're 3-1 (2-0) in ACC

let's go Canes!

KSU beats OU --> makes our loss feel better

no, i compared the last drive. if you consider 31/52 for 436 with 2 TDs and 1 INT one of the greatest UM performances, then you're drinking the kool aid. the last drive was great and perfectly executed so i have no qualms giving morris props for it. but on the whole, his yardage came from receivers making plays downfield after catching it 5-10 yards from the LOS. if your qb completes 31 passes and has 2 TDs (1 of which was a dumpoff to james who took it from the LOS to the endzone) and a pick to show for it, he's not some great entity that we have to revere.

Somebody in this thread really just called Morris "God awful" ?

Wow. Strangle yourself with a 2 foot *****.

Lets just hope he continues to improve. I had mixed feelings about his play, but dmoney is right. Morris has a high ceiling. He still a pup...remember that.

It's still an absurd comparison.

Who said you had to revere Morris? Who said he was an elite QB now?

I'm negging people for ****ting on our QB hours after he led us to a huge win.
