Stephen Morris vs Blake Bortles

I believe Jedd is getting a great deal here. Excellent multi-year practice squad QB, who now has a few years to focus full-time on learning the game. Morris is superbly qualified as an athlete. If anyone can develop him, it will be Jedd.

Do you think it was a coincidence that Jax has either drafted our signed as FA's the most Miami players of any team this year. Linder, morris, storm Johnson ( former UM player), and Hurns. You think Jedd had an eye out for some of his former players.
If Morris can get his stuff together there is no reason he shouldn't beat out Blake. Go Canes

It tells me that Fisch, who coached these guys, sees more in these players than the fan base or other teams do.

How about giving a **** after a loss and not prancing around during the post game interview talking about how he was hungry and need a Snickers. The guy was a loser and always will be a loser. He and that fruitpop Jacory disgraced everyone who ever played QB at Miami before them.

Thats a hot take that's just dripping with racist undertones.

God forbid we disgrace the legacy of guys like Kirby Freeman, Kyle Wright, Robert Marve, Scott Covington and Ryan Clement.

While I think the racism part is not quite there, I agree with the rest. Those 2, as bad as they have been at times, are not as bad as some of the others we've had. Keep in mind Dorsey is the only really good QB we've had since the early 90's. Morris might be the best qb outside of Dorsey that we've had since the early 90's. Think about that for a second.

Wright showed flashes, but a new OC every year did not help him. Freeman, I'm not even going to comment about how bad I thought he was and I still wouldn't make a negative statement like Iceman's. Marve... Anyone else ....

We've had some good QB's here, but we've had some pretty bad ones too. Far worse than Morris and Harris.

Brock Berlin LAUGHS at everyone on that list not named Dorsey

The Stephen Morris who Fisch coached in 2012, particularly the last part of the year, looked like the best qb in college football.
The Stephen Morris of last year, who hobbled around all year on one leg, and mixed head scratching throws with miraculous passes, will have a tough time.

A healthy Stephen Morris is a very athletic qb, with one of the strongest arms in the NFL. Don't think so? Tell me another NFL qb who can throw a ball 75 yards in the air and complete it.
Coley's offensive play calling didn't do Morris any favors, and playing on one leg definitely hurt his mechanics and hence his short to medium range accuracy.

Going to be interesting to see what a truly healthy Morris does in the pros, which covets qb's with true cannons.

Jedd better hope for quick results. Our he isn't going to get and do too much of anything at Jacksonville.

QB may still be a problem since they're young or not that good there, but besides that....they had a fantastic draft IMO. In particular on the offensive side of the ball. Besides some youth (tough to expect a ton out of 1st year players), there's no excuse anymore for Fisch.

I'm pretty sure noone is expecting a lot from him in Jacksonville. Fisch is going to groom him to be a capable backup in the NFL and maybe if he can put the pieces together end up a starter somewhere someday.

There are many reasons Stephen Morris wasn't drafted. All you had to do was watch his play last season.

The NFL is all about winning. I never felt Stephen Morris wanted to win more than the other team did.

I'm talking about Jedd himself. My statement has nothing to do with Morris. Jedd better get **** going fast our it's curtains.

No chance. you dont take a qb with your 1st for a guy who you signed undrafted. Plus Bortles is better. Granted Morris familiarity with Fisch.

We're making too much about the whole snicker thing... Give the guy a break... He didn't quite meet expectations but I still think qb play was not the issue for the past 3 years... We have witnessed the record set for completion percentages by 1 qb and the all time record for yards in a season by another...

If Morris can get his stuff together there is no reason he shouldn't beat out Blake.

Lmao!! Sure, and while we're at it, no reason highsmith and Rodgers shouldn't win out their respective starting positions with their teams too.

Do you think before you type?
