Staff may just go all in with Emory now…

@DMoney where is Judd Anderson at in his development.
Hard to know given his reps. He has strong physical tools- 6'7, smooth delivery, good arm and a good athlete. He can break off 40 yarders if there is green grass in front of him.

The question is processing. He's done fine when I've watched him, but he's with the 4th team going against the 4th team. He was a big man in basketball and a Wing-T quarterback until his junior year, so he has limited decision-making experience. That's where I think Nickel has a big advantage.

If we bring in a Portal kid and Emory transfers, I'd have him split second-team reps with Nickel to see where he's at. I'd bet on Nickel in that scenario, but Judd has enough tools where it's not a given.

@PIPO Ha! I’m going with the tag line: Nickel throwing dimes!

Aren't there VR tools now that can give any QB quasi "1st team reps" against the toughest D scenarios?

@Lance Roffers

Granted sims are not real life, but should give some indication on where each QB is at.

He’s just not Dynamic enough. With the Nickel commitment and Coleman u can kind of see there has been a change in philosophy when it comes to qb recruiting. Ik Emory was a Ponce recruit, so I’ll give them a pass, but I don’t think Judd is that much more dynamic than Emory.
Think it's more most qbs committ very early
You need to get your guy early
Nickel been committed for 2 years coleman over a year

Not sure who may enter the portal after the playoffs, but not sure there’s anyone we’ll throw millions at.

With emory it’s a different looking offense. More balanced. More running. But we have the oline and rbs to do it. We’ll win but win not relying on a superstar at qb to be the focus of the offense and be the star.
This comment right here is exactly what’s wrong with our fan base. You see a guy played two games last year and throw ball after ball into the hands of the defensive line and overall play like ****, but for some reason fans, think he’s the best thing since sliced bread. Emery sucks and I’ve been saying it since the beginning! Now after the second half of the bowl game, some of you head in the sand guys are starting to see the light on that.

We are going NATIONAL baby! Pressure is on, Wario.

What did you expect from the SEC shills? Andy was almost crying after we beat UF and was calling for us to lose to FSU all off-season. Could give a rip what these two say and btw we already got a WR from where? The SEC.

A SEC castoff I’d said who watched Emory throw and said “Yes, I’m in” so either we overpaid (likely) or he’s not a smart player.

Btw I could care less from where the critic comes, if it is right is right.

Right now Wario Cristobal is asleep at wheel with portal QBs recruiting.

You could care less because it fits your opinion. They are also talking about transfer rentals. Look at the snap count @Hoyacane1620 posted this morning. We have equal or more HS players playing snaps than transfers. Again these guys were keeping their mouth shut when we were winning so you are scratching the bottom of the barrel to fit what you want to hear.

I’m criticizing the QBs recruiting strategy which has been a complete disaster except for convincing Cam Ward, and risk it all, after 3 months of stalking.

This is like when we say that guy was garbage against us if you take out that 70 yard touchdown run.
Again, I’m criticizing the strategy not the result of the Cam Ward experience. As I did one year ago.

It’s too risky and even if last year went well in the end, this year the outlook is ******* bad as of now.
