Spring Spring PractiSe 8 -Thursday March 27

Are you playing with the thread because you got the nuance? Unsure and flipping multiple times is the definition of waffle. I cautioned the poster that his post was subtle.

Unfortunately for my friends, "subtle" is not generally a term that I am referred by.

judd is really bad and Emory isn't that great either - really unfortunate to not have decent QB play for the spring. Luke looks good but wont be ready this year but I'd throw him in there before those 2

JoJo and Toney were crushing the 1 on 1's - both Elite
again JoJo is just as smooth as a Justin Jefferson

Blay and Scott are going to be monsters for us and Josh Moore definitely getting alot of PT this year too
Sounds like we need a portal backup and need to show Judd/Emory the door

Ok but he looked horrible last year

Kiko took a huge step back last year. Bain when he recovered took a step back. Baron from the UF game to the end of the season looked like a different player. Mesidor did nothing. Our DBs ... god awful. I honestly think we're in a 2015 Dorito to 2016 Manny deja vu situation.

Thank god we have competition. ... But I have to say, those two are so different you're basically talking about two different positions. I want Brown to improve the leadership and violence on that side of the ball. Brantely is glue on receivers, but will not scare any WR or OC. Keep him away from teams like Cuse and Ga Tech. He'll be great against a UL or SMU type team.
By all accounts, Brantley is the verbal leader in the secondary, if not the entire defense. If by violence you mean helping in run support and blitzing, I think you're on to something.

There is a reason other fan bases were trolling us over Judd "the dud" and Emory. These guys aren't much other than elite teammates. Really wish Dereon Coleman could have early enrolled, he's a legit future superstar.

taking Judd over bailey is
like Biden being back in the white house

OJ is massive and so is Wiley - all around we look good

ewald was at safety today

Love Brantley - he will be a playmaker - everything we want in a player

again.... our qb's aren't good so take it how you want it - sucks we cant practice vs a QB

Beck is a new man since cheating on his GF - his attitude has changed (not joking)
Hearing "si papi"whispered in your ear for the first time can do that.

I think they are trying to say that all defensive calls will be made by the LBs going forward. Under previous DCs calls were made by the safeties, the safeties were the vocal leaders, most schemes funneled tackles towards them and they led our teams in tackles. All of this is changing back to the LB position.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. Hetherman's scheme is simpler and more aggressive with some great zone concepts mixed in. That plus the caliber of teaching from the new staff and I'm very bullish on the 2025 defense. The transformation of our secondary and the emergence of 2nd year players like Justin Scott and Armando Blount certainly don't hurt. If we could just get a LB or 2 to step up or add one in the portal.
