I'm in the minority because I am not.
He hasn't earned anything in my eyes yet.
What do you see as his shortcomings? Or was this just a drive by shooting?
I had a huge problem with the hire because the guy had zero on the field coaching experience and I don't believe the University of Miami Safety position (one of prestige imho) or any position is one where we should have on the job training. Then I wasn't too thrilled in the way in which we used our Safety's last year. Jamal Carter should have been the box player..we essentially ran a 4-2-5 when we brought in Jaquan but I pained me to see at times with Carter at Deep FS with Rayshawn and Jaquan in the box. That could be a combination of Diaz, him, etc...Not sure.
Then he's bringing around the camping world bowl trophy as if we had won the orange bowl. In recruits eyes, they thought it was lame...so did I. Technically the biggest Safety recruit for the 2017 class was Brian Edwards that he missed out on but I am happy with Derrick Smith and Amari carter so he get props for that.
So I am just in a wait and see mode in terms of how the Safety's are developed, etc.
