Sooo, what’s next?

The ESPN talking head machine will lobby so hard for anyone other than UM to get in. They love to see the Canes fall as we are still hated by so many. Will always be seen as thugs even though fights happen everywhere. The U is the "Bad Guy"

today was the start of the end of Mario. Most of the idiots in this fanbase are too dense to understand that but it absolutely was. Next year will be 7-5 and then they will finally understand. Forever late to the party
Yes indeed. Most will pretend and ride a fantasy wave like morphine, but it’ll wear off. By Halloween 2026, the end will be assured. Zebras don’t change their stripes. This is Cristobal.

The mindset of this team is terrible, most will declare NFL ready let them all go.

Watch our terrible D line will declare NFL ready even though they STINK .

A big double flush is coming including a commode bowl washing.

Doubt it. We pull viewers.

Thx.

Saw earlier where @JayCane20 posted about CJ (likely hearing that from people) and that would be the most Mario thing ever, because Miami, unless it brings Jeremiah Smith, which I don’t see happening.
I was blasted on bourbon last night and probably shouldn’t have put it out there like that

But CJ is 100% an option. Maybe not THE option but IMO the most likely option. The eyes are set on 2 guys that can go to the NFL.

Should find out and happen pretty quick one way or another

I’m on the side of fixing the problem- put a WDE on the field vs 3 SDE with 2 being played out of position (dt and WDE). Getting me more Pruitt and Popo. Land as many DBs as our money can buy.

Do you think Quinn Ewers is an option or is he NFL bound? I don’t see him going back to Texas with Arch ready to play.

Seems like it’s NFL for him or maybe, one more year elsewhere depending on draft grade.

Ewers is going to the NFL IMO.

Don’t think he’s welcome back at Texas. They’re ready to turn it over to Arch

Don't feel like arguing about it, so just threw it in there to cut down on 75% of my responses that would ask, "no new DC?!?".

I don't think & am pretty confident in the film that Guidry is not the main issue with the Defense.

But, that doesn't really matter. It's better to just bulldoze the whole thing & start over.
Let me ask you this, in all seriousness, because you’re extremely knowledgeable. We’ve seen the defense make the same mistakes the last 2 months, are they just incapable of learning? Or is Guidry that bad? I’m a golf pro for a living and when I get students they can’t even hit the ball after a few months they can. So if it the coach or players, something has to be the problem.

Seems like both to me. Syracuse didn’t do anything special. Barely any shifts or motions. They lined up and beat us in 1v1. They picked on our best corner more than anyone else.. because they could and he’s just not very good.

But at the same time, it’s 3rd and 8 and you blitz a safety instead of giving a true freshman corner some help and they just throw a jump ball and the blitz was pointless. We sat in man coverage and didn’t mix anything else in and just let them attack us.

The only solution is scrap the DC and add as many proven college DBs to the room as you can find. No one should be safe, OJ included.

The thing that I can’t get past with Guidry, and maybe I’m off base in what I’m seeing, but two years running our safety play has been about the worst that I’ve ever seen and that is supposed to be his area of specialty. I am at a loss for what I have seen this season. There’s no way you have that level of incompetence without both the players and coaches substantially contributing.

OJ: 48.3 coverage grade (yikes)
Porter: 43.8 (Jesus)
Damari Brown: 49.9 (Lord and savior to slurpers on this board who’s never had a good game here)

Yeah…remember when we were scared Brown would hit the portal if we brought in another DB? Let him this time.

Bring in 3+ from the portal. No one’s job is safe.

Safeties…

Powell: 69.9 (not horrendous)
Jaden Harris: 56.7 (bad)
Zaquan Patterson: 48.1

Bama has better wins than us but way worse losses. We lost by 4 and 5 points to two above .500 teams on the road, one which will be ranked. Bama lost to two 6-6 teams and got blown out by one. South Carolina will be tough. They’ve won six straight, though they got blown out by Ole Miss.

We have a shot, a slim one but a shot.

Yikes. OJ is higher than I thought it would be.

Not sure 3 is enough. Might be a 5-6-7 type of need. If even possible to bring that many
