Let’s be honest with ourselves, the odds of the committee putting us in the CFP over Alabama or another 3 loss SEC team are slim. This means our next game isn’t for like a month in the Pop Tarts bowl with Emory at QB. So where do we go from here with Cam and X going to the NFL

Bama has better wins than us but way worse losses. We lost by 4 and 5 points to two above .500 teams on the road, one which will be ranked. Bama lost to two 6-6 teams and got blown out by one. South Carolina will be tough. They’ve won six straight, though they got blown out by Ole Miss.

We have a shot, a slim one but a shot.

Only if Clemson loses to SMU

I would as well, but don't see 9 wins...we only won 10 this year with Cam and a cakewalk schedule
Wouldn’t call it a cakewalk. If you look at who we played, we actually played a tougher conference schedule than SMU or Clemson. Minus Louisville, Clemson played the bottom half of the conference almost exclusively. Same with SMU. Both didn’t have to play Syracuse or GT for example. Except for wake and GT, the other six conference games we had were against the top half of the conference.

No excuse, but both had an easier schedule.

Back to the drawing board:

- Sign a good Portal QB
(Yes, there will be good QB's in the Portal. I know a lot of you can't think past the next 15 seconds, but I promise you, between December - Feb/March there will be MULTIPLE good starting caliber QB's in the Portal)

- Sign a Portal WR

- Go absolutely nuclear on the Secondary
[Bring in as many DB's as you can find. Do not settle & do not recycle another teams trash just because they happen to be from South FL]

- Hire a new DC

- Add more DLine depth, particularly at DT.

- Decide what the plan is at LB;
Either go with the youth movement & play all Soph's, Red FR & True FR's, or hit the Portal & find two vet LB's who can actually tackle in space.

- Keep Dawson's Creek
[Despite the hate he keeps getting on the board, he's a very good OC. Unless Mario is going to fully immerse into the Shriners Temple of the Nobles of the Masonic Air Raid Lodge, keeping Dawson for continuity sake is actually a good idea. It will help sell the next Portal QB on Miami being a destination spot & we know the production will be there if we have an adequate passer.

It will also be crucial & beneficiary for the young WR Corps to stay in this same system.]

Last but certainly not least...

- Cam McCormick.

This year's schedule is a cakewalk when compared to next year's schedule

…so no on Conrad Hussey and Edwin Joseph?!?!?

Great question. But can’t be answered till we know who’s opting out plus decommits who’s available in the portal and the staff changes. Can’t assume anything.

Good , go in the playoffs with this d lol fck that , let’s pray we play a team in the bowl game without a O so we can hold
Them to 30 and win 42 to 30 with Williams at qb . Matinez and Williams will sit out

today was the start of the end of Mario. Most of the idiots in this fanbase are too dense to understand that but it absolutely was. Next year will be 7-5 and then they will finally understand. Forever late to the party
Not me. I know what it is. This was really the year to make the CFP. No real power teams. So much parity and a heisman level QB. What a shame.
