Sony close to a decision?

Only lock I've ever seen was Duke.
Committed early, adamant and outspoken that he was going to Miami and other coaches shouldn't bother.
If Sony or any other junior does that, then I'd consider them a lock.
Since that's out of the way, Sony does have legitimate interested in us but, like Ermon Lane, he's going to have every top school coming hard at him. Other than the obvious, expect teams like USC, Notre Dame, Ohio State to make a run at him. He has Heisman/NFL ability and is on that type of level. The last RB that garnered this much hype out of HS was Adrian Peterson.
I hope we get him and, pending NCAA sanctions, I think we will.

Sony is thinking about making his decision in the next few months
Right now they think UGA leads
Alvin Kamara deciding to go to Bama instead of UGA helped UGA's case a lot.
This is the 2nd person that has talked to Sony or people close to him in the last few days from different sites that feels UGA leads
one was from a UGA reporter for the world wide leader the other was from that 247 national guy

One of my best friend's Dad was on the Heritage staff until two years ago. Apparently Sony had always been a huge Canes fan and wanted to go to UM. We'd have to really **** this one up to lose him.

Fixed.
I don't think anyone really knows. Sony hasn't and probably won't tip his hate to anyone but those close to him. Of course, with the success of Gurley/Marshall, I wouldn't be surprised if UGA is up there. Both guys will be in their third year when Sony is a frosh.

Sony told Chad Simmons he is making his decision before his senior year. Said it could be spring or summer.

Duke will also be a JR and assuming that Sony > Gus Edwards, he should be playing a ****load.

I could be completely wrong but I'm sure Golden has talked to him about getting on board early and really getting this class going, because it could be epic.
Maybe false hope but just because UGA thinks they lead doesn't mean ****. We "led" for Alec Ogletree at this point as well.

We've heard nothing but good things regarding our position with Sony for years now. If we miss on this kid we truly have no one to blame but ourselves and quite frankly id be pretty upset. This dude will be a Top Ten player according to every recruiting service who has been a Cane lean since we all can remember. You just cant miss on players like that. We're ******* Miami. Demand excellence at a high standard. Itd just be unacceptable.

I refuse to invest too much emotions/energy into this kid's (or any other recruit's) early commitment/comments about how he [they] feel about UM. nothing really maters until they sign their LOI next Feb. **** is meaningless until then. Unless it is a D[]_[]ke type of player, their commitment is meaningless. If he can shut it down [his recruitment] maybe then but we got a whole spring and season before I am willing to invest any energy into these recruits.

We saw the m Thomas reaction this one has the potential to be worse, hope he's a cane to start recruiting, btw anyone know if terry Richardson leaving affected him at all, I know Eddie gran leaving impacted him with fsu
