Some Stock Up/Stock Down Imo

Markeith has played well all year and even in the bowl game vs rutgers he was all over the ball but kept getting ran over.

With him being light to tackle is there a reason as to why he doesnt switch to nickle corner. Is he just not good enough as a NCB?

Thank god Bain is back. We could have used him setting the edge and crashing the QB.

Given the stock down discussion, there are guys I want to see more of.
  • CB, let's get Robby out there. Can he play nickle given his experience in the slot? Stafford, Mack?
  • WR, Brown snaps should diminish while Jojo, Kirk and Carr snaps should go up. I still expect Brown to get back to form. But more competition will be good for him.
  • LB: Kiko gets gassed. He's already a little slow and stiff (90% of MLBs are). More Chase, Bobby and Popo is a win/win for everyone.
  • S, We're already seeing more of Williams and Patterson. Even more is justified.
  • DT: Not sure who goes in between Moten, Horton, Scott. Maybe it's a gametime call based on whoever is playing best in practices.
  • RB +TE: The pistol worked better for Martinez, we should keep adjusting so our RBs can play to their strengths. I'd even like to see some I out there. 2-3 TEs (one can split wide, one can act as a FB, whatever) gives us better big packages. At the same time, CJ is electric and what happened to Allen? Those boys need more opportunities. We need to get that run game going.
I'm not advocating wholesale makeover. Just dial back snaps among the starters, dial them up among the second and third team. It's time now.
I agree that the young WRs need more snaps (and also that they should come at Browns expense). We have a very short WR rotation that id like to see expanded.

I believe it is @BoxingRobes that talks about the share of targets in regards to age or whatever; basically, at WR if you are any good, it’ll show early on. We see Fr WRs flashing every week elsewhere in CFB but our guys get no burn.

The guys we’ve been playing are fine… we are about to send our QB to NYC for the heisman ceremony. But those other guys need to get worked in more to see if any of them are electric when the bright lights are on.

Does anyone know why AJ doesn’t get more touches? He’s got more juice than Fletcher and Martinez, I’d love to see him in the backfield with CJ at the same time. Dial something up and make the defense defend both those guys. Or Lyle too. Get the speed on the field.

I guess we will see it the first time we decide to try and run outside….

I should have probably put all these posts in one thread but whatever...

Another guy whose stock is WAYYYYYY up from where it was in the summer is obviously Horton.

I know it's an obvious call and he's been talked about a lot....but I don't think it can be overstated how much he has improved. He's a clean catcher of the football...consistently all hands and no body. He's a crispy route runner and consistently creates separation. This isn't some overachiever....the guy has serious talent and needs more flowers chucked in his direction. Outside of Ward and X...he might be our most valuable player on offense.

cooper is hurt...i mean he literally sat out **** near awhole game being hurt....if he has to push off on that foot you can see it hurts him.

Him loosing weight doesnt change anything considering the fact that we run the same run over n over into tight splits while motioning more men in the box..and have rbs that have missed a few holes vision wise leaving some yards out there.

I forgot about the injury…Fair point.

CJ CLARK AND MARLEY COOK. LOL

I MEAN THEY HAVE TO HIT THEIR QUOTA ON GETTING 6'0 300 PD TRANSFER DTS EVERY CYCLE THOUGH

@Ghandi saw Cook during Spring ball and said he was going to end up being just like Gore. People gave him **** for it. But we all knew. Clark is a disappointment. But he wasn't disruptive at NC State. JHH was better. Again, we all knew.

Here's the thing though. By now, you'd expect Moten and Horton to be stepping up, and even Scott, Blount and Jones to begin to contribute more. That's what I want to see going forward.

If our D cannot adjust to pre-snap movement, we will get undressed.
If so, Cam better be ready to play error free ball ..... because we will be in a shootout with every good team going forward

Horton is good, but can’t stay out of the training room.

Are you sure you are not referring to JG. JG is constantly limping after each play

Horton could’ve helped this week, but he wasn’t available for a few days this week of practice.

They should’ve just tossed his *** in there, but that’s just me.

You guys are talking about two different Hortons I believe (unless I'm reading it wrong)
