Not the “actual hire” though. Only the “actual performance“ of those hires will justify his selections.
We won’t know that until the season is well underway.
It’s hard to evaluate his process during this transition, because you’re talking about the key leaders having been hired within the last six weeks, and a staff that’s totally in flux during this transition, which is to be expected.
His process may be easier to interpret and judge and understand once the athletic department and staff are fully in place.
Right now, as people on the outside, we are only guessing as to what he’s doing, and these guesses are made much more difficult by the fact that you have an entire department in complete transition.
I believe in the end he is going to try to remake everything regarding the athletic department in the football program into his vision (in conjunction with Rad).
That doesn’t happen overnight.
Whether he is successful or not we won’t know for a couple of years which direction he’s headed.
