This is top shelf. Worth the daily visit to this thread all by itself.

I like to make the funny, but I am also dead serious. I don't get how people can't see through the noise. We will end up with two great coordinators and an exciting high-powered offense we can get excited about. Bank on it. Bank on Mario.

Is Sean Lewis one of our fantasies on here or does someone reliable like @Cribby or @JayCane20 actually say it's a name of interest?

He's been on the job 6 weeks now. If he's just circling back now to conduct more interviews then there's a colossal mismanagement of time/resources going on. I personally don't buy it.
Yeah, I'm torn actually.

A part of me knows that Mario has all figured out with contingency plans ready just in case. I was just joking about the timing of it all.

For the new Miami fans, Don James, a Miami grad and then passing record holder in 52-53, was the Kent State coach from 1971-74 and won their only MAC title. While there, he coached Jack Lambert, Nick Saban, and Gary Pinkel. He then went o Washington, for 18 years with success and won the National Championship in 1991. He is in both the Miami and College Football Halls of Fame.

It's amazing how many coaches come out of Ohio

@Cribby says name of interest

I’ve not got anything on that front. When I dug into the candle rumor someone I know did say Lewis would probably take it if he was targeted.

He was surprised Candle got that far along but once it leaked he said he thought he would take it since it made it to that point. So there’s that.

Offer Brady $2.5m and control of the offense with his ability to hire a QB or a TE coach.

Money talks at this point. And multi year contracts talk. If Mario has missed because he wants more control of the offense than elite targets want to offer then he needs to decide if he can evolve himself for the best of the program!

I hope everyone realizes that there are EIGHT NFL head coaching vacancies right now. In my roughly 40 years I can’t recall that many openings in a single offseason. That said we aren’t looking to hire some off brand coordinators that these other beta schools are scooping up. Most of our targets are likely candidates to join one of the EIGHT staffs still being assembled. Again that’s why I’m not going to worry unless this lingers long past signing day.

FWIW, Brady still has to be in the top three for this very reason.

Hate to say it at this point wouldn't be shocked if it's Ponce in the end.

******* yall can't understand sarcasm***
