Any of y’all listen to the Twitter spaces? We got some dumbass fans man smh.

One dude saying Joe Salave’a is trash. Another guy saying we should hire Kellen Moore as OC lmao. I think I’m officially done with those chats.
Regressed ? Hall has always been suspect . BB was hurt most of the year and tbh a tad overrated, not exactly the hardest worker either. Not sure the obsession here to **** on T Rob. Is he a bit of a drama queen ? Yes but the guy can coach and one of the best recruiters in the country.
This!

I feel like there aren’t a ton of great options at OC this year.
Last year’s pool seemed a lot deeper than this year.

Anyone have thoughts on Zak Hill and Andrew Sowder? Hill is interesting even though ASU offense was a little disappointing this year. Sowder probably needs a smaller P5 role first but he’s definitely produced with Crum.

Auburn wouldn’t hire Zak Hill since Compliance worried about ASU issues if he was involved or not.

Does Sowder really call plays or does Lewis?

He ain't getting that in the NFL.
True, But after he weighed the pros and cons of his decision, he’s probably gonna be getting paid close to what he would make here and don’t have to kiss the asses of 17yr olds.

I would be cautious with Schuman personally.

I know he's well liked by UGA and seems like it's a great fit for him there. Doesn't mean it would be a great fit for him here. Having Smart as a head coach and Muschamp and Lanning on staff is a huge security blanket.

He's very young, has never called a D, has always worked with elite talent only (always better than his opponents) and has always worked under Saban/Smart, two of the best D head coaches in the country. To change all of that at one time is a lot to put on a young coach. No more elite defensive head coach..no more elite talent (for now)..no longer a second or third set of eyes to help with play calling and coaching/practice. It's a lot of change to expect him to do it all well.
Solid post and certainly raises a few issues to think about.

Schumann is still my favorite candidate for DC based on what I've read and Mario knows him well from their 'Bama days. But, the experience factor and not relying on Mario (who played and coached on the other side of the ball) are valid points.

Mullen hardly ever ran Trask at UF.
Yep. Trask had zero ability to run so Mullen changed up the offense to sling it a lot more. TVD has shown he has some running ability so Mullen would probably integrate some running plays but we are not lookin at TVD turning into Tebow here.

Joe Brady (free agent)
Kendal Briles (Arkansas)
Dan Mullen (free agent)
Graham Harrell (free agent)
Kevin Wilson (Ohio State)
Jeff Grimes (Baylor)
Warren Ruggiero (Wake Forest)

These dudes should get a call. Imo Mullens is the best candidate.

LOL @ Mullens. You really think Mario is going to hire a culture killing arrogant goofball that hates to recruit, and is bad at evaluating QB prospects? Dude missed over and over, lucked into Trask, and he only got run because Frenks went down.

Talk about a TERRIBLE fit.

And he even made Franks look terrible. You should’ve seen the guy in preseason. I couldn’t believe it was the same dude.

True statement now and forever until Dorsey actually calls a play or 2
All I’ll say is the game changes and you either adapt and thrive or it passes you by. Chud hasn’t had a consistent job in a decade, got washed out the NFL, and now has been minimized to an off the field at BC.

On the flip side, Dorsey was apart of helping Cam win an MVP and helping Josh Allen become a perineal pro bowler. It’s been reported he turned down two NFL OC jobs last year. He’s the pass game coordinator for a top 5 passing attack in the NFL.

One guy on the rise and one guy for lack of a better word, WASHED. Lol not according to me either, according to people hiring coaches. You really want a coach with 0 demand for nostalgia?

Thats not entirely accurate. He hasn't missed over and over.

Dak is the starting Qb for the Cowboys.

Cam Newton (got him at UF and was outbid for him at Miss. State) was a great eval. Dudes like Richt and Bobo were trying to get him to play TE out of HS.

He lucked into Trask, true, but neither he or Pitts or Toney were doing what they did before cuckboy got there. He made those guys money.

It is fair to say his record is uneven w Qbs. But ****, even this year w the RBs he had playing Qb, his offense put up better numbers than ours and Oregons. They were **** near top 10 in total offense.

How many starting qbs does Marios last OC -- who was an *** recruiter who Mario stil hired -- have playing in the league?

Nick Fitzgerald and Dak were pretty good QBs at at Mississippi State. Dan Mullen is one of the best play callers in college football. The OC just needs to recruit QBs that's it and you can always grab a proven one from the portal

Just for the record, Schuman and Mario were at Bama for 2 years at the same time..2013-2014. Schuman was a defensive grad assistant and Mario was the AHC and OL coach. I'm not sure how well/much they worked with each other. Did somebody already clarify that?

5-star top 10 QB overall prospect Cam Newton was a great eval? 🤣 And how did that work out?:)

Dak... well, even a blind squirrel catches a nut once in a while. But a win is a win, so I will give him to you. Honestly though, based on the rest of his career, I am apt to think he got lucky because he couldn't pull a highly rated prospect that cycle. And you know what? That was a DECADE ago. A DECADE. These recruits were 7 years old the last time Mullen hit.

Just look at UF's roster right now. All missed QB evals and bad development. QB whisperer? Yeah, no one says that about him anymore. And he missed on Beck who would have been a mistake, and the Evers kid that was going to come that Napier dropped... no thanks.

He didn't have a single earned QB win at UF. Not one.

None of this matters. He's not getting a sniff here. If you can't see why, yikes!!
