THIS. Mario's time frame is not the CIS time frame.

He is likely targeting very high end coaching prospects who he knew would have opportunities once the season ended and didn't want to announce anything until he was sure his hires would stick.

It's no coincidence that the only announced hires were the ones who were 100% not going to entertain other offers.

The last thing Mario wants to do to the Team and its fans is announce Coordinator A only to then scramble when that guy takes a position in the NFL or a perceived "better opportunity".

Or maybe this is just my way of rationalizing....
Or maybe Mario is striking out. If that’s then It’s okay. Idk which is true. I’m just over ppl making it seem like the lack of hirings thus far has to be some master plan

this is a point i was keeping in the tuck but let’s get to it.

ed orgeron is the most comparable to mario. the only time orgeron had ever been a coordinator was his time at usc. he hired two first time coordinators last year and was basically fired in-season.
Know who else keeps it in the tuck?

Just speculation on my part, but I think Cristobal has been waiting on an answer from Schumann and Dorsey this week. Those seem to have been his top targets from the beginning. With all the coaching changes in the NFL, I think Dorsey will get an NFL OC job, and Briles will be the backup option for us. If Schumann stays at Georgia, then I think it’ll be Belk.
