Again, reading comprehension is a lost art on this Board. My "friend" did not say "Ferman said blah blah blah." It was a poster who is apparently well connected. Big difference yet still highly irrelevant for our purposes.

We needed this program total overhaul, but football staff wise, came at a rough year, with so many high profile schools ALSO looking for staff....

Keeping calm / slightly nervous but hoping for the best with Mario's selections....

I read it correctly - I understand it was a poster - and there are posters here who make similar comments - so what’s the point!! That there are uninformed people in the world? Not an earth shattering observation.

No chit. Tell me something we don't all know.

It was done for entertainment purposes, which happens to be one of the reasons why most of us view this Board (not the primary reason tho). It also happens to be one of the reasons why this thread is approaching 600 pages.

Oh...and if you have been following along there was a concerted effort among posters to hit 600 pages so posting information no matter how speculative helps reduce the stress and pass time while we wait for Mario's announcements.

That was the point!
 
I find it interesting that the offensive staff with Kevin Smith as RB Coach sans OC is pretty full except for the TE Coach - but the defensive staff except for Joe Salave'a is empty.

It must mean whoever the DC is will have input on filling out the staff on that side of the ball.

THIS. Mario's time frame is not the CIS time frame.

He is likely targeting very high end coaching prospects who he knew would have opportunities once the season ended and didn't want to announce anything until he was sure his hires would stick.

It's no coincidence that the only announced hires were the ones who were 100% not going to entertain other offers.

The last thing Mario wants to do to the Team and its fans is announce Coordinator A only to then scramble when that guy takes a position in the NFL or a perceived "better opportunity".

Or maybe this is just my way of rationalizing....
