My ex's dad was similar. Took him to La Carreta and he ordered a cafecito. Thought it was a joke that they brought it to him in a little tacita. So he asked for 2 and downed it pretty quickly.

there is no shortage. this cycle showed that any and all coaches are available at the right price. that being said, you can't say Clint hurtt is the ideal choice as DC.

Man, you have to look around. Urban got cancelled. Gruden got cancelled. A bunch of ****-good HCs have great 401(k)s and house values and TV gigs, and have said "F U" to the grind of coaching, including Stoops and Richt (med issues too).

A number of guys who would have been excellent coordinators have been bumped to HC because of the labor shortage. A number of guys who are excellent position coaches are extorting Co-Coordinator titles just because they can.

There's a labor shortage alright. And even if Hurtt is not my ideal choice as DC, and even if Dorsey is not my ideal choice as OC, we will not end up hiring them because we aren't paying enough. We will end up hiring them because higher-rated targets got legitimately better offers from the NFL (Brady) and/or their current employers (Schumann).
