Not necessarily. Spring football is a long way off. The only thing that matters right now is recruiting. They have plenty of time to interview and hire someone, if Briles were to leave.

Plus coordinators usually aren’t primary recruiters. That’s what position coaches and in our case Mario are for.

That’s true but I feel like Mario places such an emphasis on recruiting that everyone on staff has to be a willing recruiter.

I can’t see him allowing dead weight in recruiting on his staff which is why Mullen as OC didn’t make sense.

I love the Miami hurricanes so this isn't dorsey slander but you guys are doing the same thing that happened with Joe brady


Josh Allen and cam Newton are all world talents. Does Brady deserve some credit? Yes but let's not pretend he's a QB whisperer and being the QB coach for two elite talents doesn't all of a sudden qualify you to get a top 5 OC Job in college(considering our available $$) when you've never called plays before

He did accept an App State gig. He was there for a few months.

I doubt he chooses FSU - if he did and this was the reason, then I think there's a valid concern about why it's not announced. But then again, you don't tailor your plans to just one recruit, so I see both sides here.

I think the point he is making is that if Briles is the guy then surely Arkansas knows this. Which means Arkansas would be out trying to find an OC. They wouldn’t wait to hire an OC just because there is “plenty of time.”
