I said it before, both coordinators are already done, its just a matter of completing a few open positions.

Offensively, its RB and whether Coley wants to coach TE here. Defensively its either us getting a S or an OLB coach. I dont feel anxious about T-Rob - fairly sure they give him a raise and a Co-DC title to keep him around if the smoke is too hot.

At this point if everything wasn’t done I would question why with Mario as we have very important recruiting visits and limited time once the dead period ends to salvage the rest of Manny’s disaster class.

I would assume Hayward from Cal would be that coach for S or OLB as we did see him and Mario together in Oregon from that picture around Christmas time. Would also fit the national recruiting staff vision that he has. I just am curious who the DC would be if Schumann says no.

Yeah, no playcalling history, but if you said you were bringing down a QBC/Passing Game Coordinator from a top offense in the NFL that was attributed (in part) to the success of MVP version of Cam Newton and Josh Allen, I think yall would be pretty hype. You've got TVD who is kind of like the latter...and Jacurri Brown who is kind of like the former...maybe I'm fantasy bookin', but that sounds pretty great, idk.

I'd like someone with playcalling experience, too...but fvck it, if Dorsey's gonna succeed as a playcaller, I'd want it to be right here with the good guys. And if he sucks, and he might...at least we took the swing.

Let me try to explain what I am seeing….

You can’t feed some a steady diet of “we shouldn’t have people learn on the job, we’re ******* Miami” for 20 years of various ineptness and then expect 1000% buy in to learn on the job when OC is the biggest hire on Mario’s docket.

Additionally… when you also offer what some perceive as steak (Brady) and it ends up being “meat” (could be wagyu, could be hot dog), you are going to have this reaction.

**** I’m hungry. Time for breakfast. And well may to hire a coordinator…

a college OC or NFL OC job would be the logical next step for him. this isn't like hiring a guy to be HC and CEO for the first time.

“Imo” I think he sticks. He’s been telling recruits and players he’s returning. He’s also recruited the **** out of TS to stay. Teams will try to still him but thats the game you play when you have a great staff.

I know there’s a little group that likes to crap on him but he’d be a big loss with recruiting, kids like him.
 
Im ecstatic if the OC is any of Brady, briles or dorsey


Not saying Ken WILL be Kellen Moore reincarnate as a playcaller...but let's not forget that dude had a whopping 1 year of QB coach experience before being hired as Dallas OC around the age of 30.

staying with logic, I think a college OC position would be a bit more merciful in his learning curve if he wants to try calling plays for the first time. It would also be at his alma mater and working with other coaches that he respects and vice versa. Maybe Dorsey is thinking along those lines.
