Serious question: is there a legit barbecue spot in south Florida? There’s a couple decent ones but most of the ones I’ve been to are mediocre at best.

Hometown opened in Allapattah. The one in NY is great. Heard mostly good about the one in Miami.

A surprise place that shocked me was Smokehouse on North Oak. It's pretty **** legit.

I like Woodyards in KCK off of 35, too, but their portions make you wanna beat their ***.

Did you see the pictures I posted. Franklins isn't getting a bark in the same universe of what I get.

I live in Austin and have been to just about every famous bbq joint in Texas. There’s a very good reason why Franklin is considered the unanimous #1 BBQ joint in America year in and year out, it’s fücking unreal. You’re the first person I’ve ever heard say they were let down by their experience.

That being said, I’m picking Terry Black’s or La Barbecue over Franklin 99% of the time because they don’t have a 5 hour line

Not with Mario and Ruiz in town. We are about to hire Saban to coach CBs and O'Brien and Golding will be associate heads of water Hydration. There also is talks of Holmon Wiggins being the towel game coordinator.

Funny you mention La Barbecue as I thought their brisket (and everything else) was better than Franklins.

The best thing about COVID is you can pre-order at all of these places and avoid the lines.

The sliced pork at Moonswiner's in Fort Pierce is pretty darn good.
