Also never understood why it was a slur for dumb people when I was a kid. As a kid that was big into history when I was young, **** drove me crazy.

Tua wasn’t drafted because of intangibles.

Too bad that phenom lost 3 out of his last 4 including a game to the Texans when they had half of their 2 deep out of the game cuz of Covid. Maybe if he had more intangibles he would’ve made the playoffs.

It's because of Looney Tunes. Bugs Bunny would sarcastically refer to Elmer Fudd (a sh*tty hunter) as Nimrod (an excellent hunter), and because kids (and most adults) didn't get the reference, they didn't get the sarcasm and assumed it was a term for an idiot

I'm telling you that like plenty of things you put on here, your premise is wrong. The Dolphins didn't draft Tua over Herbert because of intangibles.

And Herbert was the QB of a team that was 8-5 and lost three out of their last 4 games including a completely winnable game against a bad and depleted team. So in some ways he'd be the perfect Dolphins QB. Been about 25 years of losing games down the stretch that ruin seasons. He'd fit right in.
