Saying what happened for the 2021 Chargers isn't ****ting on Herbert. Thats what happened. His team lost 3 out of their last 4 and missed the playoffs because of it.

So who would you rather have going forward:

Tua or Herbert?

"Maybe if he had more intangibles they would have made the playoffs"

I'm sure Brady would do anything to stay in the NFL I just don't see the Bears hiding a guy to be QB coach who has no experience at it.

At this point forget Brady. He has a idea situation here:

Great QB: ✅
Salary:✅
Play calling:✅
Talent Pool: ✅
Hometown✅

If we have to court him this much, we good. there are a lot of talent OCs out there. We are looking for a big name, His name could be Cole Ostamie for all I care. As long he surgical with the Xs and Os

Deshaun Watson literally ranked 6th in EPA/Play from 2018-2019 and continued that trend a season later. Would be even better if he didnt tear his ACL in 2017. Sure, all Watson, no O'Brien involved lmao Not like Belichick got his defenses butt kicked against him twice...

And he didnt get fired four games in because of coaching. He got fired because he completely destroyed the team with ****** trades. He went 52-48 overall with four playoff appearences in seven seasons.
He was also 0-4 when he got fired and blew a 24-0 lead against the Chiefs in the playoff the year before. So yeah coaching had something to do with it. No one and I mean no one is attributing ranking 6th to O'Brien's mastery of the game. That stat you are referencing I believe takes into account what the player actually does on the play and Watson's willingness to hold the football and extend plays and then make them isn't evidence of Bill O'Brien's genius.

I'm telling you that like plenty of things you put on here, your premise is wrong. The Dolphins didn't draft Tua over Herbert because of intangibles.

And Herbert was the QB of a team that was 8-5 and lost three out of their last 4 games including a completely winnable game against a bad and depleted team. So in some ways he'd be the perfect Dolphins QB. Been about 25 years of losing games down the stretch that ruin seasons. He'd fit right in.
Have you watched much Chargers games this year? Hebert balled this year. Staleys 4th down gambles caught up with them in second half of the season. ****y rookie coach thought he knew the game better than everyone else. Don't get me wrong I like Staley. They took the best part of the kids game away from him. The deep ball. He still balled out. Tua can't shine Herbert's pads let alone his shoes. Every member of the personel department should be fired for taking Tua over Herbert. Period.

Yeah, that wasnt Watson. All O'Brien. You got it. Every time the Texans stunk it was O'Brien, every time they were good, it wasnt him. Sure.

So Andy Reid is not that big of an offensive guru because Patrick Mahomes does the same exact ******* thing?

That stat also includes the ****load of sacks Watson took because, instead of throwing the ball away, held onto it for dear life. Or, what every mobile QB in the NFL does. All OCs with mobile QBs are **** tho, because they are forced to run around and make plays.

No wonder most teams beat writers are ****...

That dumb fake punt that let the Chiefs back in the game was all O'Brien. And I'm not a beat writer.

Go find anyone who thinks O'Brien and Reid are in the same stratosphere when it comes to offense.

O'Brien was routinely criticized for his lack of creativity with his mobile QB. So much so that when he pulled out some RPO stuff against the Chiefs in a 2019 regular season game the city lost their **** because he actually incorporated some of the college game into his offense. I'll say it again. No one is afraid of the Patriots getting him. Like most coaches from the Belichick tree, he's a JAG when he gets away from Bill and more importantly in his case, Brady.
