SOFLA YOUTH FOOTBALL IS corrupted..

LOL...most of the kids that I heard of that were offered all of these perks panned out.

And it's funny you don't have a problem with the funny accounting that goes on in College athletics. You know, where they use profits from sports that are dominated by black athletes, to pay for sports that are dominated by trust fund babies that don't bring in $h!t to the University.

Question, if you shared an apartment with 3 other guys, would you feel exploited if you had to pay all of the bills because you made the most money?

Aren't citizens who make more money taxed at a higher rate? Its' for the betterment of all involved. You're essentially saying that everyone should keep what they earned and those that have earned less should be screwed. Very libertarian viewpoint but thankfully, our country doesn't work like that.

If your 8 year old football player is the breadwinner for your family you are a terrible parent, not the kids fault.

I wish youth football players were paid like that where I grew up. I'd have had all the consoles, I'd have had a gokart. I'd have had every Pokemon card/game. LOL

Exactly, whatta pathetic, short-sighted, sour grapes, and self-righteous thread. Lames have a fake issue with the mothers and fathers who have bled, sweat, and shed tears to feed, clothe, protect and make their children happy getting monetary benefit from them before everyone else unquestionably will.

They love capitalism and the free market until those pre-determined to be at the bottom learn how to maneuver within it. They never post going at the Game Makers or those who have established, cultivated and modeled this opportunistic culture that these parents are mimicking.

This is a joke right? What about this is capitalism? Do you even know what capitalism is?

So if you owned 4 restaurants, and 3 of em' weren't making a profit, would you keep dumping money from the only store that's making a profit, into the other 3 stores?

So sports are purely for financial gain? Athletics at any level are just a business for turning profit, like a restaurant? Then scrap them all besides a small handful of university football and men's basketball programs. Sports, from little league all the way up through college don't turn a profit. Outside a handful of major programs, football teams cost schools more than they make. Optimist football would not exist without taxpayer funded parks and fields to play the games on. Public high school football programs are not making a profit. The school's athletic department is funded mostly through tax dollars. College football at a majority of the universities in America doesn't make a profit. We see the big contracts and money that the FBS schools make through football but forget that most university football programs aren't operating at an FBS level. If anything, a majority of the country should be upset that sports takes funds away from other, more important areas.

****, I can understand a few hundred bucks for a really good player, but 3k for one kid?? Whats the incentive?

gambling...3k for a kid pays off when you make that back every week in winnings.... side betting is the biggest hustle in youth football

Capitalism requires a opportunistic and individualistic dog eat dog approach and mindstate. That’s the correlation. What some of these parents are allowing is learned American economic culture.

Of course not, because they have to prop up sports with a bunch of already affluent freeloaders.
No, I mean the university spends more money on the football program than the program makes. Do you think small school football teams turn a profit?

Didn't know that soccer players and track runners were all from super rich families. I mean since none of those sports have guys on full athletic scholarships either.

Power 5 conference teams with big followings make enough money to help support their athletic department G5 teams and teams in lower divisions often cost their athletic department more money than they make.

The moral of the story is if you are poor, it's ok to pimp out your kids (gotta feed the fam). But if you are not poor, then you are a piece of ****.
