So now that Morris also beat U*

The media loves to build up quarterbacks, hype them up, add pressure on them, then destroy them for whatever reason. It dont bother me one bit that Morris not in the spotlight. I just want this kid to stay focus and keep winning games for us.

why doesn"t he get the same love Teddy B gets?

Maybe because Morris didn't play well at all against UF? If not for our defense that day, you'd have guys on here wanting to absolutely kill Morris. The kid looked like dog**** versus the Gaytors. Meanwhile, bridgewater looked pretty good against them. That's the main difference.

Anyone else think the heisman hype might have got morris a little out of his game, maybe forcing throws or trying to do too much to impress the heisman people? I'm kind of glad him and duke are off to a slow start and forget the heisman talk and get back to winning games.

Morris has potential to be great but he does not have the consistency. With Teddy, you pretty much know what we will get from game to game. You really don't know what Morris will show up from quarter to quarter. He is already being mentioned as a fringe 1st rounder
but the knock on him is he lacks consistency and struggles with his accuracy at times.

it's a pretty simple explanation. just look at their career stats:

bridgewater is a career 67.5% passer with 55 TDs and 21 INTs. 14 TDs and 12 INTs came during his freshman year.

morris is a career 57.7% passer with 34 TDs and 20 INTs. 7 TDs and 9 INTs came during his freshman year.

keeping touchdowns out of the equation, bridgewater has thrown 557 passes to morris' 394 and only has 1 more career interception to show for it. he's a better quarterback. however, from a pro perspective, morris' cannon arm may make up for his shortcomings if he's given the opportunity to sit back and learn from good coaches.

Lost in all of this talk about career stats and strength of schedule is the fact that the OP was talking about the UF game. Again, I think it's pretty clear if we're just looking at the UF game.

Stephen Morris stuck with this team. After the Jacorry nightmare this kid stuck it out, and never complained.. do you remember all the QB bs we use to hear after Dorsey?

and I am 100% confident that because of how Morris conducts himself he has helped Ryan Williams a great deal and now just in case Olsen / Kaya need more time to develop we have a very accurate QB just in case.

Heck Ryan Williams might end up being our next top QB and kill it next year.

If you ask me, Brigewater is a great QB but through all the bs we have been through I am glad Morris is our QB and has helped Golden develop this program.

If Morris played the cupcake teams TB has played his stats would be nuts. Someone post Loserville's schedule?

Morris has also had 3 different OC's and 2 different HC's and yet is projected to go really high in the draft!

God dammit! Give us TB in a BCS Bowl so we can crush those ***** and expose that fraud. I don't care if he's from South Florida, he ain't from this U! ***** sucks!

Did morris play a better secondary this year than what bridgewater saw? i say morris played against a better group of corners than what teddy b. saw. morris didnt look amazing but his line wasnt giving him much protection and he did complete 2 nice passes for TDs. one happened to be the longest completion UF has allowed in years

Teddy looked like **** agianst Kentucky but they crown him because its an SEC school

The media has a love fest for the kid but besides that **** win I haven't seen him done ****.

Would love to see him agianst Bama per say.

Not completely, but partially - the media love TB because he rejected the U. You know many wanted to see us get the death penalty for the past sins of beating the crap out of the establishment teams, TX, ND, PSU, etc. Next few games will tell the tale, one way or another. We and Morris either rise to the competitive challenge or we & Mo don't.

Everyone knows that UF mailed that bowl game in. Compare that to an in-state rival regular season and its completely different situation.

Teddy had a more impressive game than Morris.

Bridgewater vs Florida

Sophomore, CMP%: 62.5%, YRDS: 266, TD: 2, INT:1 QBR: 88.6

Morris vs Florida

Senior, CMP%: 48%, YRDS: 162, TD: 2, INT:1, QBR: 29.4

Morris would have similar numbers if he played as much vs garbage competition as Bridgewater has this year.

TB had 32 pass attempts vs Eastern Kentucky. I don't think Morris has that many attempts vs FAU, SSU, and USF combined.

Stop. Just stop

Some of yall are retarded, TB played pretty good against UF, Morris didn't. Its not the media hates Miami or anything like that.
