Not much there. That whole area is culturally closer to West Virginia and Rural PA than it is to Montgomery County or Frederick City.Hancock is a skinny town.
Corey Raymond, Larry Johnson, Zac Etheridge, Demetrice Martin, Mike Reed, Travaris Robinson, JaJuan Seider, Sean Spencer, Terry Smith, Steve Clinkscale, Perry Eliano, Junior Adams, Frank Wilson, Torrian Gray, Brian Jean-Mary, Charlie Partridge, Sonny Cumbie & about 10 others I could name.
A lot of people can recruit, you guys just only see things from a limited scope. The best recruiter in the world is winning & money; win games & offer money & you’ll be surprised how many players you can sign.
But then there’s this other group of guys who can actually recruit AND coach... A mythical bunch they are.
I’m picking up what you’re putting down* Dawson brings in a guy. Given the reliance on QB-WR relations in Air Raid systems and Dawson's need to have some of his guys on staff to implement his offense, the WR coach should be whoever Dawson wants. If we are gonna try and stack one of the positions with a pure recruiter guy it'd be RB/TE or maybe a OWR guy if we go that route instead of TE coach.
Supposedly Seider isn’t great as a coach. He’s a recruiterIf I had to choose one, it would be Seider, but that’s just my personal bias, because I think he can recruit, and he can coach, especially running backs. I do think Coley is a good recruiter, just not sure how he meshes with our new OC, so I wouldn’t be angry if he was chosen, I just think there’s probably better coaches out there that can recruit that can also better fit what we’re trying to do.

Who can't recruit at UGA, A&M, and even FSU who used to bring in highly ranked classes? Did he set the world on fire here?
Memnon is dead *** spot on here.
There’s several coaches who have a far better recruiting resume, you guys just hype up Coley as a recruiter because he’s from Miami & used to Coach here.
I would prefer to have Shannon bring in one of his guys to help him implement his own offense. I don’t think Coley fits that description
Edit (as a WR Coach)
Lol why, does he enjoy massive pay cuts?Word in Polk is that Coley wanted the Lakeland job.
Because he "gets to feel like a winner."Lol why, does he enjoy massive pay cuts?
Richt had more than enough talent to win at least a couple of ships at UGA. His issues was suspending kids for games early in the season. The two major differences from then to now is that (A) we have a 4 team playoff. If we had a playoff in the early 2000’s, UGA would’ve had a chance at multiple titles., and (B) Richt didn’t want to know about the illegal stuff that was going on with recruiting….. and Kirby has brought in the Bama model, where he don’t give a fucc. He’s actually probably encouraging it.Norvell?
Richt didn’t recruit at UGA at the level UGA could recruit that. That just didn’t become apparent until Smart took over.
It also doesn't snow.Lol why, does he enjoy massive pay cuts?
He would have to go back to high school for someone to be dumb enough to let him call plays ever again.I don’t disagree, I’m just voicing this perpetual habit of his vying to be an OC.
What kind of play calling is he elite at?He would have to go back to high school for someone to be dumb enough to let him call plays ever again.
I don’t know that either is in demand for their coaching. Seider would be a great hire as a recruiter. I think he has a kid at Penn State still who’s a walk on.News to me, but what the **** do I know? I do know that he’s considered a very good recruiter, especially South Florida. If we’re talking about running backs, how much better could Coley be than Seider as a coach? Also, I mean come on, how much longer you think he wants to live up in State College?
Am I though?Now you’re just reaching lol
My argument wasn’t in favor of any of the names I mentioned, I was asked if there were any other Coaches who had just as good if not a better recruiting resume than Coley, so I just listed a number of them off the top of my head.If I had to choose one, it would be Seider, but that’s just my personal bias, because I think he can recruit, and he can coach, especially running backs. The point I’m making, is there’s a lot of really good recruiters out there, people just for whatever reason have this fixation with the drooling over Coley every offseason as if he’s the only one that could ever recruit in South FL lol.
The funny part is recruiting South FL is actually one of the easiest jobs in the country for most programs, as long as you offer money to the right people & kiss up to the right HS coaches you can get practically anyone you want. **** Billy Napier used to crush it in South FL, it’s not as special as everyone makes it out to be. Miami has always struggled with it because we’ve been run by idiots for the last 20 years lol.
