SIAP, but Rohan now on stadium committee.

I don't believe it will happen in gables. But no reason it can't happen..
I happen to like watching the games at hard Rock. But there us more to it than just having an "OB 2". Eventually, the money that comes in from owning your own stadium and concessions, along with rental potential makes a nice difference in the school's pocket books.

What did Rad actually say about this? I haven’t seen a quote.

I hope these guys can figure a way to do it and get it done.

I'm not going to hold my breath though, not because of the logistics, politics, and other obstacles in the way because if they want it bad enough, they can get it done. My doubt has more to do with Ruiz gifting $500+ million. That is a big chunk of change for one guy to give for charity basically. It definitely looks positive because of the coaching staff salary increase. He has really come through so far to his credit.

I counted two qualifiers that were pretty prominent, did I miss any?

I would have probably said the exact same thing if I were him. You are the A.D. coming into a new situation, you know there’s at least a certain percentage of the fan base that strongly supports this, disirregardless if there is any possibility to do it or not, so you’re not going to alienate those people. But again, look at the qualifiers.

Ohhh, I completely agree. He definitely (and intelligently) couches his statements on this front. He IS giving oxygen to the notion though as I'm sure he's cognizant that his response (even with the qualifiers) is vastly different from our recent ADs.

Yeah I like I said, if it was me, and I was having a smart moment, I would’ve said something similar.

Why alienate people? And especially why alienate someone that just contributed $10 million the other day. That statement will never hurt him no matter what happens.

If he says “fūck no that’ll never happen”, he alienates a portion of the fan base, and why even do that, even if they’re not significant, and he alienates a potential billionaire contributor, and if by some miracle the stadium gets built, he ends up looking like a complete idiot and loses some credibility.

I'd rather have them invest more in NIL deals and stuff like that. Waaaaaaay bigger bang for your buck. Do what Texas is doing and take over college football again.
This.

Rohan has numerous of business interests. Why not an NIL deal with his coffee company? Assuming the coffee company is still a thing.,,,

A big gimmick

Ruiz showed his hand the moment he took a chopper up to “search for a site”.

A picture of a meeting in a “war room” with a display wall and satellite maps would have been credible pr.

With that being said… IF the acquisition of Ruiz’s company goes through, anything is possible when you have 20 BILLION dollars.

Trust me they are making this up as they go along. It’s a tremendous waste of time. Yeah if you can SPAC, then SPAC… but even that has a ton of holes in it, as widely reported on Forbes, Bloomberg etc… shady dude.

Everyone talking about we need our own stadium to create the Orange Bowl 2.0. The Orange Bowl was Dolphin's stadium as well. Winning is what made the Orange Bowl home for UM. Winning will do the same thing for Hard Rock where games will begin to sell out or be near full capacity.
That’s a very good point.
