right now IT IS ALL SPECULATION. we all see better attitudes, better conditioning, better agreement on buying into the system and a lot of new, young talent, but not one of us knows what all that means on the gridiron on september 1. let's see how these guys play. right now it is all speculation. here's hoping for the best.

Okay I got a jump in on this one.... LOL USF is going to beat us?? We beat them last year.... our 6 losses last year, were all by 8 points or less. Here is my run down....

You guys make it seem like we have been going up against National Championship contenders. This is the ACC were talking about. Most of these teams aren't any good.

As a matter of fact I dont see any game that is a "Definite" loss..... I think we should win most of the games on our schedule and even the games that maybe a loss.... FSU, Notre Dame, KSU, VaTech, and UVa.... we definitely won't be pushovers in these games. We sucked last year but never was blown out of any game. 8 points was the largest amount we lost by.

So I think it shouldn't be surprising if we have a winning record this year... how many wins, we have to play the game to determine, but I feel comfortable at 8-4 being a strong possibility.

Everyone seems to forget that even with all the disfunction last season, our team still fought their *** off in every game.

Say what you want about Golden, but he had his kids in every game. With another year in his system I doubt they backslide and somehow become less competitive, and as mentioned, the "talent loss" is not as bad as some will make it out. We are most likely still a middle tier team but it ain't all doom and gloom either.

Vernon was suspended for 6 games, and did jack **** when he came back.

BWash was mediocre at best at tackle.

Benjamin and Streeter were productive, but I expect some other guys to step up (we had to replace Hankerson last year).

Ray Ray missed 4 games, and sucks.

Lamar was a gamebreaker, but he wore down as the season went on. Plus Duke is a dynamic player.

Forston played like 3 games last year, and he played them on roller skates.

Our DL is an upgrade for the simple fact that we actually have some DTs to throw out there. Do people not realize the only true DTs that we had, that played all year, were Smith and Regis? Forston played 3 games(and was never 100% for any of them), Porter 2 games, Robinson 0 games. Other than Regis and Porter, we had nothing but oversized DEs masquerading as DTs. If you don't think having some real DTs would have helped, just watch any game where we got our **** pushed in and could never make an easy stop when we needed it.

Most reasonable prediction I've seen. Don't sleep on NC State they could be a darkhorse ACC title contender.

Lets put it like this, It's okay to feel confident about this season... This isn't Randy Shannon's team anymore. Al Golden is the captain of the ship and, unlike Shannon, he actually has a resume of being a very good Head Coach.

Also Our team doesn't have to deal with the pressure of dealing w/ expectations either. Our team is going to play w/ a HUGE chip on it's shoulders.... honestly, the media is making it harder for the other teams, b/c they have to blow us out now, and we have to lose every game, accept to Duke.... which isn't going to happen.

Miami is going to Sandusky the ACC this year... and I can't wait.

DT depth was atrocious. We had true freshmen (plural) in the rotation, a converted DE playing at 265 lbs, and an out-of-shape DT playing at 360 lbs.

Plus we're A LOT stronger this year. We only had 11 guys on the whole **** team that could do 20 reps at 225 lbs on the bench press.

It is a very reasonable prediction but I just think that we need to snap out of the Va Tech fears. They don't have any playmakers on offense this year. Robert Lockhart probably would've started for them this season.... I'm not saying that they aren't any good but they barely beat us @ Blacksburg last year. Logan Thomas is still overrated to me. His slow *** walked in the end zone due to mental mistakes by our sorry *** defense last year....and I bet his *** wont like getting hit by Perryman at all. They are coming down to South Beach this year and the lunch pail is going to have a "U" on it.
