I’m curious if some of these “collectives” are getting nervous about not following the NIL rules correctly and are now stopping payment to try to avoid NCAA entanglement? They snooped around here and Ruiz gladly opened the books for them. I wonder if these other schools are worried the same thing might happen to them and they won’t be so keen on opening the books.

Ruiz and LifeWallet is a legit business and I'm sure they have alerted all involved that they will be getting a W-4 or 1099 on this money they make.

I'm not sure these collectives are set up to get this money taxed correctly cause all they seem to be is pay for play organizations..

The IRS is gonna be on their *** trying to collect their money from these kids in the next few years....Alot of these kids are about to get a rude awakening into the real world when they get a lien on their bank accounts in about 10 yrs for taxes that are owed from this sht.

the NCAA isn't gonna be their problem..That 3 initialed monster( IRS) we all fear is...

I’ve heard aTm is having a lot of problem getting the kids what was promised….
What? Impossible. Saban said they were all bought and that’s impermissible because you can’t get paid before you enroll! Could Saban…have…lied?

You’d think the boosters would prefer the tax write off they can claim as opposed to illegal cash payments that couldn’t be written off.

And yet the NCAA chose Miami to publicly sniff around. Coincidence? I think not. Predictable if nothing else.

I still think that whole ordeal was a blessing in disguise. Ruiz and the Miami compliance department have handled the whole NIL situation with complete transparency. Any questions were happily answered and any information was gladly shared. Now some of these "collectives" may not be so inclined to share their numbers or answer any questions which is why I believe a lot of these checks have stopped.

The great thing is when all these chicken-**** SEC teams cry to the NCAA, they can tell them that they went down to UM and took a look and all seemed compliant.

These teams used to recruit - go hard after very top picks, and I'd suggest they'd accumulated the habit of being a bit lazy. They KNEW they could take their time and see who others were really recruiting hard - then give a lot of those players a real good look for themselves.

Then, they knew they could come in late in the recruiting season and drop bags to snatch these players from other teams.

IRONY: What made them successful in the past - now works against them.

What do they write it off as…a charitable donation…in the spectrum of NIL that’s illegal.

When the IRS gets on your ***, it STAYS on your *** - and they don't give a Tinker's Dam about how much it's costing the gubmint to chase.

Lots of things trigger an audit - and there just HAS to be some Miami-type IRS Agents that would LOVE to dig into some of these other teams bidness. They'd have an excuse to look at Alabama players now - ATM - Auburn - Clempson, etc.

Same questions: Where did that money come from? Who provided it? Did you pay tax on it?
