Wait until y’all hear about the NIL deal that he’s getting at the U
Get him on campus, whatever it takes.

Out of curiosity, at what point do things go sideways with NIL deals as they relate to more "veteran" players? For instance, Shemar gets a giant deal. Does Leonard Taylor or James Williams re-negotiate or threaten to escape via portal? Anyone remember when rookie QBs started getting paid more than All-Pros? Then the rookie scale got put into place.

It’s going to get weird no doubt but each guy has earning power so it’s on those veterans to find deals and work with the network the school has in place to get some better deals

As I said off the board, I'm certainly more at ease after the administrative overhaul with Rad. And, that Mario's staff is authentic and focuses on trust. Either way, even outside of the Canes, I cannot imagine the system is long-term sustainable. The market will go crazy as the NFL draft signings once did, and then a couple railings have to be put in place. Problem is the NCAA is terrible at their role and years behind. Even state legislative bodies move faster than the worthless NCAA.

Facts I said this too...Mullen did well his first three years and couldn't sell winning and had to get transfers and diamonds in the rough. Mack loses and recruits top classes. Kirby gets to UGA with no HC XP and top three class....Saban gets to a trash bama top 3 class and losing on top of it.

These fans are fuqin nuts. There is so much proof. U would think following it for years they would see the contradictions to there beliefs. Lane and Riley two of the best x and O guys in college can't recruit like UGA OSU Clemson and Bama. Lane had an amazing year at Ole Miss and can't get anyone lol.

I'm glad UM didn't listen to this fuqin fan base and hire Lane. That's not how u build a pernial power...u hire a HC that's an elite recruiter with a recruiting staff and a x and O guy as OC and DC.....then your cooking

The pirate would of won a fuqin title already if those geniuses theory were true. Dudes a **** of a mind on Offense but can't recruit. Then they think he comes here and kills it with "Miami type talent" when we haven't had Miami type talent in ages.

Edit: it gets me so mad to have to explain this every week for ten fuqin years.
💯. We got the right coach.

assuming that the NIL deal is a result of performance, you gotta wonder where they would transfer to that would give them the money the original spot wouldn't.

Yup. This is what comes next. Schools who want to compete for a NC will need to generate add'l NIL deals to keep all the Seniors, Juniors and Sophs they need to keep...not just 2021 incoming Freshmen. Competing in the top echelon is going to get really expensive really quickly.

There will need to be a "balancing" of NIL deals within teams as Lu mentioned so that new recruits aren't getting paid while upper class guys get nothing. Teams will need to start paying every single player on the roster that they don't want to see leave via an NIL deal.

NIL deals will be for 3-4 years... so maybe bonus but payment is not all up front.
