Shawn Burgess- Becker transferring

I take him. Bring him in and let him tell our local recruits who are considering bama how much it sucks there and how he made a mistake not playing for his hometown team. A lot of goodwill and positives can come from bringing him in.

I doubt he gets a transfer to tenn.

Maybe bama letting him go b/c they can't stop him from transferring. Maybe he knows a lot and they don't want him running his mouth.

The problem is that he doesn't garner nearly the same respect as Ridley who will be telling everyone how great it is at Bama. Who would you listen to if you were 16-18 years old?

Miami will not recruit. He had his chance. Kids think they can choose to go away from home and then Miami can be their safety blanket a year later...not happening.

Can't blame any kid for not wanting to play for Golden...

Of course but we can't treat as ourselves as a safety school, happy to see the pride back in Miami
Using Golden as an excuse becomes lame after a while. If you're comfortable home, believe in your talent and love UM then **** it. We've still had 1at-4th round talents and studs who even went undrafted who somehow Golden didn'truin. Every year tthere's kids who transfer that want to come back and that's on them

When the **** did this program get so proud after the past 10+ years? Why don't we win the coastal before we start getting so butthurt about a player who chose to accept a scholarship to THE dominant college football program of his generation. Obviously he realizes he made a mistake, and we should welcome him with open arms IF we want to get back to where we used to be. Because elite talent brings you national titles, not hurt feelings.

I think they are the ones that sent cautionary tales to our BoT. Along with Amari Cooper, Calvin Ridley, Dalvin Cook, Sony Michel, etc.

Come on bro you would really send your kid to Miami when golden was here ? that's just crazy. Also getting 1st round money matters now more then ever. Deon Bush is a perfect example.

He's not an elite talent. If he was an elite talent, then he wouldn't be getting pushed out of Bama after one year. He couldn't even make the 3 deep. Bama has safeties suspended too.

I'm not saying I'd want to send him to Golden but if you don't love the other school then you're going to be miserable there anyway unless you're starting. Too many of these kids every year regret there choice when were still getting top picks so iits not some miracle to succeed

Well....he's not an elite talent.

He's getting pushed out? He was projected to be the backup strong safety this year as a true sophomore. So I'm not sure what kind of point you're trying to make. He's not sitting behind Rayshawn Jenkins or Robert Knowles either. I know you guys prefer them as backups because "they want to be Canes", along with the rest of the winners that wanted to be Canes over the past 10+ years.

He was not projected to be the backup safety. He wasn't even their 3rd string guy. Bama is over 85 schollies and had to get guys out. He read the writing on the wall. He wasn't going to beat out the frosh they have coming in either, and was going to be buried. It has nothing to do with "wanting to be Canes" for me. Richt clearly likes the kids that he's in on for 2017/2018 versus giving this kid a scholarship right now for the next 4 years. That's his call.

For every article you show me that does not project him as the backup safety, I could find you 5 that do. There's no reason for Bama to want this guy gone. What is your source that Alabama wanted him gone?

As for Richt, he better be bringing in a ton of talent in the secondary because we need it. I just want the best guys out there, and I find it hard to believe that SBB wouldn't be in the mix for a lot of playing time here.
