This staff like every other has taken plenty of jags
You actually recruit more jags than not
overall oline seems to have the least amount of jags but otherwise every position group has jags that these coaches evaluated
And sometimes the player himself doesn't do all that is necessary to develop or earn the trust of the coaches to justify playing

random but scouting isn’t that hard a job if you know what it is you want in a player position by position. There are a lot of guys I know personally who are fantastic talent evaluators who didn’t play the sport. The real challenge is getting your scouting taken seriously. Coaching in football is like being a police officer. It’s a brotherhood. There are a lot of coaches who are dead awful but they played the sport and paid their due so they have a gig

Size gotta be one of the least important qualities of a CB imo. Length (not even necessarily height, arm length is more important) and Speed is far more important. Physicality, sure I'd want a guy that shows on tape he's physical and not some ***** when it comes to making a tackle or just getting bodied by WRs... But This description sounds like its exactly what they said about Jadais Richard.... That's not the type of CB we should be going for. If they look at him specifically and think Safety/Star, okay thats one thing, and honestly we only have what 2 safeties in this class and aren't really 'in it' for any other top guys, so I'd be down if that is the specific intention.... But the versatility being a positive because they think he can be CB too.... just no. Not unless he is also fast, period.

with my coach friends I always talk about the illusion of coverage. Of course we all want Champ Bailey's. But, you can't just pretend all of your 6'2 corners are gonna be those kinds of athletes also. If you have enough guys that can run, many QBs will check off a 6'2 WR when he appears covered by a 5'10 CB. Speed is critical on the perimeter

"Christian Clemente (Auburn 247 mod) and I are hearing the Tigers are in a really good spot for USC cornerback commit Shamar Arnoux.

Feel great about Auburn's chances here. "

D@mn it Flo was 65 percent he was coming to Miami. WTF Flo
Yeah,Flo must be shocked. On his last podcast he was asking listeners to ask him about Arnoux with a grin as if we had a great shot at him.

Auburn is pressing in this recruitment because they might be losing Donovan Starr to Vanderbilt of all places.

Wish we would've been putting effort several months ago into flipping Michael Clayton.
