I remember people were hyping this guy up. Then some 1x1 off season practice video surfaced with his shirt off (paws) and I thought, this kid looks like he's in 10th grade. Ain't know way he's going to produce at this level.

Guilty. But you need to provide some context. Manny was abysmal at recruiting. Outside of Covid, when we got JW, we had no shot at any 5 star or high 4 star DB. And we desperately needed bodies. ... Our other takes were the mercurial Tae Williams (epic fail), Jalen Harrell (fail), Balom (fail), Keyshawn Washington (fail) and Marcus Clark (fail). ... at least Dunson transferred to Baylor and started for them, But he was injured in their first game last season. He's still on the team but not sure he's played since.

As for this kid, if he's truly a 13 second 100 runner, it's a fail. Not sure how to rationalize that relative to his mph speed. But coaches got some splaining to do if we replace Merritt with this kid.

Maybe they're recruiting him as a safety.

Antione, Hanks, Pickett, Anding, Merritt is the class I'd want at CB.
And we have Ewald and Carter.
