I’m excited to watch the development of Derohn King, Deerfield Beach QB ‘20.

He makes that team really dangerous with all the skill talent around him.

He's gonna put up big numbers. DB has a bunch of wr with div 1 offers in his 2020 class. I think that's why he transferred that way

Derohn is learning on the fly right now. There's a couple things that he has to grasp, like when to let it fly during an all-out blitz (man coverage + blitz = let it fly = give your stud WR's 50/50 balls). He tends to hold onto the ball too long. He didn't have a great game against Chaminade but he looked great against Buford. Chaminade played nothing but Cover-1 Press and Cover-2-Man all game and he didn't let it fly like he should've. Gotta have faith that your WR's will win.
Buford played a ton of zone and Derohn picked them apart. The OC called a good game and Derohn threw everything from hitches, to outs, to posts...and the game winner was a wheel route down the sideline.

I was surprised with the lack of impact that Jalar Holley had on that game. He was not disruptive at all to my recollection. The more impactful NT/DT was on Deerfield's side.

People look at me crazy when I say this because they don't know about the kids who live in their boundary...
But Western would be a state title contender.
Their talent at OL and QB would be unmatched in Broward.
