Serious question - Is Mork Richt THE worst recruiter we've ever had here?

He was once a good recruiter. I suspect he is giving off negative vibes to croots now without realizing it. I'd imagine he used to come across as confident, but he looks terrible now. Non-verbals matter. Teens are intuitive. They SEE where more than they HEAR. when dealing with adults.

Go look at the 2004 and 2005 classes and try to say with a straight face that Larry Coker is not the worst recruiter Miami has ever had. He single-handedly turned Miami from the most talented roster in college football history into Virginia's bottom b*tch in 6 years.
The Coker promotion started this death spiral, but Shannon was the worse. Richt though is coming on strong and can pass up Shannon as the worst with 2019s performance.

You do understand thta most of the starters on our current team and the one that went to the ACCCG were Golden recruits, don't you?

Shhhhh. It doesn't fit their narrative. Despite what some say Richt was actually left with talent. His best offense here was filled with Golden's players.

This could end up being the worst recruiting class we've had in over 20 years.

I don't think people truly appreciate or realize just how special Richt's ineptitude is. We are geographically located in one of the most fertile recruiting territories in the continental United States and SOMEHOW this guy is going to find a way to finish with a class ranked outside the top 20. You REALLY have to try and make a special concerted effort to accomplish what he's about to accomplish.
Train wreck of an OL, and ZERO commitments on OL in December. But Mork Pricht insists everything is fine and no changes are needed.
Vilma and Kosar, please help!!!!

He is overrated as a recruiter. UGA will always pull solid in-state kids. UGA pulled very few 5* kids from OOS under Richt. He was not a national recruiting force. And he didn’t have multiple big in-state schools to compete with.

Matthew Stafford, from Tx; AJgreen from SC; Theus from Jax; Michel from So Fla.

All were Offensive players. Tells you a lot right there. Tells you he didn’t get engaged on D, IMO.

The last three were after he had Oc in place. Stafford is a pull for him. Green was from an area Georgia recruits well, before Clemson got rolling. And with Stafford to toss to him.

Theus came when the Fla schools were down, and Jax is close to Georgia. Michel came when Miami was in the dumps. UGA beat Clemson for him. Rare situation.

So the last 2 years Don't count?

2017 - #12 class
2018 - #8 class

I'm as Frustrated as anyone about this year(Record & Recruiting) but unless Richt has Alzeihmers, the man for reason or another had a Bad Year...

Unfortunately, it happened but hopefully, it's a one-off and all goes Right next year

I'll hang up and listen.

I know knew MorK wasn't **** when he couldn't even get Eason to follow him to Miami and think about this for a sec. A quarterback that Mork recruited for 2 years elected to stay at UGA without knowing what kind of offense Kirby was running.

Overall, I can't argue with you. Remember, I didn't say Great recruiter, only Good. My other point was to his demeanor. When I used to speak with him in Athens, he was always very positive. He threw off a good vibe to the kids. I haven't spoken with him since he returned to the U. I just get this feeling in my crawl that he has No MoJo right now.

I appreciate your logical reply.

He is completely washed up. The writing is clearly on the wall. The hopium you are smoking is blinding you to the reality of what is going on right now. Make no mistake about it, we are in the first and second circles of Dante's Inferno at the present moment. If no major changes are made this offseason, next year will be circles three, four, and five. If he is still allowed to continue after that, we will undoubtedly end up in the ninth and final circle, which will make the 38-3 Clemson beating feel like a gift from the gods.

This class can end up anywhere from 12-25 depending on what a couple HS kids do. 20 and 21 classes loaded with Sofla talent and Canes off to good start there.

Think next season tells if Richt will last any longer or not.
