Serious question - Is Mork Richt THE worst recruiter we've ever had here?

Nah, shannon the worst of them all...Had the whole Miami NW and BTW line up to support his hometown a$$ the first year...Then after that he was the laziest recruited ever and lost the whole sofla

Shannon a complete bum as a recruiter.

Well, Rick went 10-3 with Al Golden's recruits and in year 3 still has an Al Golden recruit at QB (yeah, he had to reel Perry back in, but Golden was on him first). Now this team is more Rick's team and it struggled to qualify for a bowl. Rick's "legend" at UGA was built with boosters helping behind the scenes. Now he has to actually work and results are not good. Various coaches have been strong in recruiting in some aspects, poor in others. I'd trust Al Golden to recruit a QB and WRs over Rick.
 
We have no idea how he will close on this years class. Anyone who thinks they know what this class will produce on the field in the coming seasons is deluding themselves. Recruiting rankings are often way off the mark. The one thing you can say that is a major disapointment is the lack of a qb. Other than that just be patient and see what the next few years bring instead of making instant judgements.

We need to communicate and recruit the "Plan B's" alot better.

It's the difference between a class ranked 10-15 that continues to build team depth, and a class ranked 25-30 that missed on Plan As and Plan Bs

I posted this a few weeks ago.
They’re going after kids like if we barely sniffed the playoffs.
And he keeps saying to the media that ain’t Shiite gonna change. What do you expect if you say that after losing to 4 horrible teams.
They need to figure out that we don’t have credibility right now to recruit 5 star linemen.
We’re gonna have to do it the old fashioned way by playing 4th and 5th year seniors and our best trench bullies are still a few years away from that.
This staff thought that they were just gonna set up shop and it would be a wrap. They were very wrong. They need to go undefeated next season and give Clemson a big migraine in order to erase wtf happened this year. If we lose to the gates opening day and lose to the noles it’s even worse then golden for next years class. No amount of bags or relationships will cover up that stank.

Plan "B's" with his horrible game day coaching will turn us into Iowa, permanently.

This class and the subsequent classes are going to be pretty **** dismal after the 2019 season is over. Its already apparent to us and top-flight recruits but after next season, the whole world will realize what a fraud CMR and his coaches are, which is when things will get really nasty.

Rick has to recruit now like Butch Davis and find the underrated 2 and 3 stars (credit for Rosseau), sprinkled with the odd 4 or 5 star who really wants to play for the U. Going after the big fish works in year 1 or 2 when you can sell that the program is on the upswing despite the record. After flopping in year 3, big time recruits aren't buying it.

Problem with the Butch route is that Rick, and basically his whole staff (outside a couple coaches), can't be trusted with player evaluations.

Im actually ok if we only sign 2-3 OL. Want I don’t want to see is Miami only sign 22-24 kids while letting good kids at DL, WR, RB, DB, LB slip away from South Florida. We need numbers on the D side so go ahead and sign 16-18 kids on D. Sign 3-4 WR. Sign 2 TE. sign 2 RB.

Just don’t undersign the class with 22-24 kids and 28 spots.

You pretty much summed up every sour grapes recruiting excuse there is, all in one post.

That’s crazy. We are already headed for a disastrously thin OL in ‘20.

If you’re ok with 2-3 OL, you’re ok with awful depth, lack of talent and competition, and mediocrity or worse.

Sorry, but relative to those facts he's worse than Randy and Golden AS A RECRUITER. Come to think of it he's pretty much as bad as the aformentioned from a coaching standpoint as well.

This could end up being the worst recruiting class we've had in over 20 years.

I don't think people truly appreciate or realize just how special Richt's ineptitude is. We are geographically located in one of the most fertile recruiting territories in the continental United States and SOMEHOW this guy is going to find a way to finish with a class ranked outside the top 20. You REALLY have to try and make a special concerted effort to accomplish what he's about to accomplish.
